WORKS PERFECT SO FAR. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE

Product works as advertised. Designed for marine applications. The WalMart web page said my local store had only one in stock, but actually the store had five. You will find this item in the boating section, not in the aut6omotive section.

After being really happy I found this one prior to a boating/camping trip in April, the primer bulb worked well. It produced a firm fuel transfer and I had no problems with it for a while; however, I do not use the boat much and today (July 19th), I threw it away because it would not pump fuel at all. The primer bulb had been sitting outside in the weather for 3 months, but that should not have caused it to go bad so quickly. The exterior wasn't dry-rotted, cracked, ect. It felt like there was a small bulb inside of the large bulb...manipulating neither of them would produce fuel transfer. Because it is so cheap, I would buy this in a pinch, but for longevity and problem prevention, I would not purchase something else.

These bulbs do not hold pressure. They bleed back into the tank and when trying to prime a larger outboard with the tank in the center of the boat, it will never prime. I replaced all of my fuel lines than pulled a vacuum and it held put the second "new" bulb on the boat and you could disconnect it from the line and hear the air sucking back into it. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.

I bought this a few months back and it has been used about 10 times to replace an old bulb which was very hard to prime. The very first time I never got it to prime squeezing it very hard and fast. I had bought a replacement line and bulb before and I always had to go back to the spare replacement because this bulb would not prime correctly. I finally had to permanently install spare line and bulb instead of this piece of junk. Look on internet for video on its construction and see ethanol eat this up! I tested it by having 2 sets of new connectors (4 connectors, 2 each side) for Evinrude motor and putting brand new clear tubing to see fuel flow. As one reviewer notices, as soon as you stop squeezing, fuel starts to go back to tank when fuel line is connected to motor and portable tank. It also helps to hold bulb with arrow pointing at motor in the up position, but as soon as you stop squeezing it, the fuel draws back to the tank. Piece of junk!

I bought a new fuel line last year and the bulb has already quit working. I won't buy another Attwood bulb even if it is cheaper if I have to replace it every year.
