works as it should though it is a bit shorter then the original. A few inches more would have made the biggest difference.

The quality of the product seems fine. But after buying this; I had to go out and buy a new gas tank because it was incompatible with the one I had. I guess it was too old.

the bulb was very hard to squeeze, and the hose was very stiff and did not hang loose, like very outdated merchandise.

I purchased this product at my local WalMart store to replace the aged and hardened fuel line I had. At first, the quality seemed good and it worked well. However, after a few uses, it no longer worked to pump fuel from my tank to my engine. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for a new one. The second set did not work at all. I have studied the kit and find that it contains 5 one-way check valves. One is at the adapter that screws into the fuel tank. One is at the hose end that connects to the adapter, and prevents sprayback if the hose is disconnected while pressurized fuel is in it. Two are at the ends of the bulb and are what create pumping action and one-way flow in the hose as the bulb is squeezed. And one is at the connector that attaches the hose to the engine. If you screw the adapter into the tank, attach the hose, and then squeeze the bulb a few times, the bulb should get hard to squeeze as the hose fills with fuel. In my case, the bulb never got hard. This means that one or more check valves are not sealing properly, or are stuck shut. I found that the adapter at the tank would not flow in either direction, even when I tried to hold the check valve open. Since this check valve serves no purpose, I drilled it out and reinstalled the adapter and hose. Then I held the check valve open at the engine connector and blew into the fuel tank filler neck. Fuel freely flowed from the tank through the hose. I reconnected the engine connector to the engine and squeezed the bulb repeatedly. The hose kit now seems to work fine. I will take my boat out for a test run to see if I have solved the problem.
