Believe the reviews. Unfortunately, I did not read them before my purchase —and I regret it.
I ordered a 3.5 cubic-foot freezer through Walmart's website but received a 2.8 cubic-foot model instead. This is not a minor discrepancy; it is a materially different product from what was advertised and purchased.
When I contacted Walmart to resolve the issue, I was told that I would not receive any refund or price adjustment unless I returned the item. I have now returned it to the store, yet according to my receipt, I will not be refunded until the shipper receives the merchandise. This places the entire burden on the customer, even though the error was not mine.
What is most concerning is that this is not an isolated incident. Multiple reviews indicate that this shipper has repeatedly sent incorrect products, and yet Walmart continues to allow them to sell to customers. That makes Walmart complicit in a pattern of unfair business practices.
This is unacceptable. Customers should not have to absorb the inconvenience, time, and uncertainty caused by a vendor's repeated misrepresentation of products.
I am formally calling this out as unfair trade, and I am taking action. If others have experienced the same issue, I encourage you to speak up. Consumers deserve transparency, accountability, and fair treatment—especially from a retailer as large and trusted as Walmart.
After many years of shopping with Walmart, this experience has been deeply disappointing.
