This told me exactly what the issue was with my wiring. It's a little bit pricey for what it is but very helpful if you own a camper or Rv.

this rv circuit analyzer plugs into the rv cord, and it will let you know if your wiring is in good working order. will let you know if wiring is correct, if the surge protector is working or has a failure.. it has 30 amp usage, 120 volt , 3600 watts. almost a must for a rv camper. i will get lots of use with this , and my camper.

Over time, this will save you a lot of money in electrical repairs. Better to damage this surge protector rather than your RV’s electrical system. I use this as the first line of defense prior to connecting the rest of the RV’s power cords. This tells me if there is a problem with the electrical box in whatever park I might be at the time. It is surprising how many parks have messed up electrical boxes. This saves your RV from being fried. It also saves very expensive surge protectors from being fried by faulty wiring in the parks. This is a fantastic first line of defense.

We have not had a chance to use this circuit analyzer yet as it is February and in the Midwest RVs are winterized and in storage till at least mid-April, we could not even find a park with electricity available to test it. We opened it and examined it, seems very easy to plug in to RV outlets. The read out has lights that will indicate configuration of wiring, simple to understand. No manual included but back of the package has sufficient instructions. We have high hopes for durability, as this is a very handy tool to have when camping. May be 5 stars worthy after repeated use next summer.

Great for if you're in a pinch but not long term

This is really a great idea for all of our new Campers, since the Pandemic sent many of us out into the world of snatching up RV's and renting campgrounds as soon their windows of rental came open. The use of a campgrounds electrical supply, on a pedestal, that may or may not get timely maintenance is an iffy situation. How do we know if that 30Amp plug is wired correctly??? That is where the Auto Drive Circuit Analyzer comes in. Plug it straight into the pedestal before you plug your motorhomes electrical supply cord into the pedestal at the campground to get a color-coded reading of what shape the pedestal is in. The most common "faults" have a three light code displayed at the top of the plug to give you a reading if pedestals plug is in working order. Most all RV/Motorhome owner's first purchase is a "surge protector" type add on that protects your RV from catching fire to melting wiring or other worse case scenarios. This product though nowhere near as expensive as the former mentioned surge protector can test that pedestal before you plug the main extension cord in. My only question is why can't it be read it after you plug in your extension cord into the adapter. The three code lights are totally covered by your plug. So even though it lets you plug into it, it is only readable if you plug it in on its own first. I will use it first then plug my cord in with its more expensive surge protector in after if reads no faults. Will keep in my "electrical" RV supply box I carry. Keep in mind This is Not a surge protector.
