Grass works well.
I've used this grass mat in past years. It is easy to work with and always performs well in being sturdy so it doesn't tear or warp easily.

Suitable as background for train or racing car set

Very pleased with this product. Was the right size to cover a sheet of plywood. Liked the texture and feel of it. Did have to be careful not to tear it.

It's paper. It isn't worth $50 for a paper. I thought it was a rug.

grass mat. I'll remember this company.
got a box full of plastic bubbles. no grass mat. paid 32 dollars for cardboard n plastic. my 4 by 8 n guage layout is delayed.
