Backyard Discovery Tucson Cedar Wooden Swing Set Box 1

This was a special birthday present, we were told that it would arrive WELL after our son's birthday, and it arrived exactly the day of, 4 days early, so we were MORE than ecstatic ! We did a ton of research, and read DOZENS of reviews, most of them about poor quality,missing parts, cheap wood. NONE of this was the case for us! In fact it so completely EXCEEDED our expectations. It is such a beautiful set, and it SMELLS GREAT!! We started up the coffee pot, and went to work at about 11pm that night, and it was completed by 8am the next morning. It was so well worth it. The directions were very clear, and easy to follow. My husband and I put it together, and I am NOT in the least "hands on", be he is super handy, and even I could follow along!!! The funny thing is that we live in a VERY hot climate, and its over 100 degrees outside, even at 11pm, so we built most of it in the house in the air conditioning and attached the 2 major parts together outside, so we were not sweating to death. Overall it was a great, fun "all nighter", different than the ones we had before kids, but super fun none the less!! Ans the look on his face in the morning was ALL worth it!! Oh, I forgot to mention, he is a 5 year old, and more on the "sturdy" side, very tall for his age, and he fits on it and plays on it no problem! We are completely satisfied. If you arent familiar with working with wood, I would recommend that whomever is constructing it, they should be somewhat knowledgable with wood, otherwise it could split if you over tighten screws.

Awesome. My kids and neighbors love it! It’s not easy to set up, though it is pretty well explained on instructions. What I mean is that it takes hours to put up, and if you have an electric drill it’ll help. Now I ho to the backyard, read relax and they always have fun.

This was a perfect choice for our 6 year old and 2 year old! It looks nice, it's sturdy and my girls have absolutely enjoyed it! I thought the rock wall and slide might be too big for my youngest right now, but she can't stay off of it. I definitely recommend reading through reviews and taking into consideration what worked best to organize for assembly. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that we had several setbacks with the delivery time most of which was due to the carrier and not specifically Walmart. Also, we got the Dome at Walmart too, months ago and it's a great addition!!

First let me start by saying the swing set is beautiful and my 2-6 year old love it. My 8 year granddaughter (60lbs) complains that it is too low going up the ladder to slide. So definitely designed for young children. The wood was very soft, which gave us concerns about safety and durability, but have no fear it is held together with what seems to be 1000's of pieces of hardware, different sizes for every step. The assembly took a couple days. You could speed the process by having 2 power drills. I for predrilling and one for screwing in bolts. Also, be prepared for lots if measuring. Overall, I give it 3 stars. If they would predrilled all boards it would get 4.5 I ordered this just prior to Covid 19 closures, so kudos to company for filling the order quickly and providing my kids with hours of fun! Also, came in one flat box so very heavy. They are masters at packing! (NOTE baby swing was ordered separately.)

I was super excited to get this for my kids. I never saw one in person before but thought for the price its was worth getting one instead of building myself. Here are a few of my likes and dislikes: Likes: Good hardware : Bolts, nuts, screws were good quality. Chains and other metal hardware was of good quality App: there was an app to help assist putting it together Dislikes: Wood: the wood felt soft, like it was a pine wood or something extremely light. When i stepped on where you mounted the slide it creeked and felt like it could possibly break, it did hold my weight but i felt uneasy (i weigh 235lbs). I did feel it would be safe for both of my kids so that was a plus! App: Even though there was an app to put it together i felt that some steps were out of place and could have been put some place else. Putting together: this took me a full 8 hours with the help of another person. Make sure you have time and another person when putting together. Next time i think i may build one from scratch. It will take me about the same amount of time and be of better wood quality. Overall for the price this isn't bad for Kids only.

The picture and function look good until you get it home. I am relatively handy, but this was annoying for a "kit". It was missing some screes, had way to many of others. The instructions said to call if it was missing parts, but it took me 2 days to assemble and I'm not going to take time off from work when the parts arrived. Required a few drills I didn't have, so I had to purchase them. Basically it was more work than if I had built it from scratch, and not as sturdy. When they say it has to be level, THEY MEAN LEVEL! If it's off by 1 degree it creaks and makes terrifying noises. Plan to waste a whole weeekend and plan an extra $100 for further supplies.

I ordered this set twice and both times it arrived in unacceptable condition and was refused. The first time the box was busted open, filthy, and had parts protruding from the box. It was shrink wrapped to the pallet to hold it together. The next time it arrived as a bunch of parts wrapped in plastic with no box at all. If Walmart is selling seconds or open box returns, they should specify that.

My Dad is a contractor that has been building houses for over 30 years and this was a nightmare for us to put together. These are some of the worst instructions we've ever had to follow, there were several KEY pieces missing, and this is not quality materials at all. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

Absolutely horrible. Certain wood pieces were splintered straight out of box, wood mildewed after one rain, important bolt pieces missing (had to buy replacement bolts), has very "rickety" feel to it even after tightening everything as tight as possible and stacking it down, very small for the price. For close to $500, it's definitely not worth it. Have had it for most of the year now and would give it 0 stars if possible. Would not purchase again or ever recommend this playset.

Purchased April of 2019. Two weeks ago the wood supporting the swings (triangle shape) fell apart. The kids complained about splinters a couple of months ago in the clubhouse. My kids are 5 and 6. It was built and placed in a dry area. It only got wet when it rained I live in California.
