The search for this item was inspired by seeing something similar in the Sharper Image catalog for over $100, which was ridiculously high. This kit went together easily and the tools needed to assemble it were included. The quality was great and it seems to be very sturdy. The only negatives were that the slots are tool small for my jigsaw and that the mounting screws are flathead and I prefer roundhead screws for this sort of mount. Overall I recommend this item for an inexpensive power tool holder.
Most items now I purchase through Walmart….processing time on mark and quality of products are very good.
The shelf comes with 32 bolts, 8 longer bolts and 24 shorter bolts. The shorter bolts are to short. I tried using vice grips to squeeze the frame and shelf together enough to tighten the nut to the bolts. I got one started but the others would not start. not enough threads to latch onto. I had enough longer bolts on hand to put the shelf together and lucky enough to have enough lock washers and nuts to put shelf together. if they would have just gave me 32 of the longer bolts I wouldn't have had any issues putting it together.
Screws were too short. Just a bit longer would have been much better. smaller than expected. Instructions could have been better.
The rack is of good quality steel. Absolutely no way it would ever hold 600 pounds! The supplied fasteners to attach it to the wall might collectively hold 50 pounds. I wound up using 8 toggle bolts and even with those heavy duty fasteners, I would be scared to put over 100 pounds on it. Definitely false advertisement by about 6 times what it will legitimately hold.
Product came with missing items no instructions just a packing list of items which that is when I noticed missing items
I have quite a few of these kinds of shelves and racks for my drills and batteries and all of my handheld battery operated tools, I got this one especially for my drills because I have quite a few of them and I want them all stored in the same place and have their batteries charged in the same place, while trying to put this together, there are two different size screws that need to be used, all of the shorter screws are too short to be used and the nut cannot thread the screw without it stripping, I literally had to go to the hardware store and buy all new screws and nuts to put this together.. I haven't finished putting it together yet because of time constraints, but if I have another problem while putting this together with the longer screws I will report back and let you know.. I would say for the time being, if you need a cordless tool Shelf like this one, by a different one from a different manufacturer that doesn't take shortcuts
The item came in bent. It is not sturdy
I ordered this and was refused a refund by the company. I purchased it for my partner as a gift for them to use for their work and personal use. When assembled, the bars were bent and warped. I requested a full refund as it is unusable. I cannot place items on the shelf as they will tip over due to the bars being bent. I provided photos as well showing how uneven the shelving was. I was told to "Use the other shelves that are straight." Unfortunately I need all of the shelves and need to be able to use the entire product. I cited the fact that this organizer is supposed to be able to support 600 lbs, and was told it was fine. I was told I could only get a full refund if I completely disassembled the organizer, which took a significant amount of time to put together. I received half of what I paid for back only, and now I have a shelf that I cannot use. Complete waste of money, poor customer service, scam item. Upsetting that clearly poor quality items are being sold and the return/refund process is such a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and do not purchase.
