This garage storage tool rack was a game changer for my tool storage. It allows me to store tool in central location, gets tools off the garage floor, store tools in orderly manner. It has saved me time having my hand tools in one place and not having to hunt for the tools I need. Sttoraboks garage tool rack is well designed and sturdy. Installation was pretty straight forward and the product aligned well, so that it could be on long continuous rack or multiple racks. I elected to use a 1 x 6 hemlock as a back board and used rafter screws to attach. This product is well worth considering,
Worked great for storing tools and cleaning items (brooms) in the garage. Also keeps the garage space clear and makes organizing tools a breeze.
Like it came in three pieces let me spread out the base parts to allow more space between hooks and allow to hang wider items.
Nice product. Secure. The tool hooks slide along the rail so nice and adjustable. Just wish the rail was longer. They are about 17” long If they were say 36 inches then just have to find a couple of studs if you want it that long. Otherwise you can have it cut
What I want to know, is if you can get more track to go with is set, there is not enough track to use all the hooks, etc ? I have a real problem with the waste involved the extra being unable to utilize the remaining hooks. It would be a simple thing to offer additional track, and insulting to your customers to make them buy two complete sets and have a bucket of unused hooks left over if they need to hang more stuff. FIX THIS. the world already has enough unused scrap iron.
Specifically made for walls with studs exactly 16 inches apart so installation is strait forward. Very good price/value. However, placing multipl tracs end to end NOT recommended due to outside bolt holes being exactly 16 inches apart. Instead, skip every other bay when installing multiple tracs for best anchoring strength.
Rack system works fairly well. I found one problem that reduces it from a 5. The holders have two rubber like gromets on each one. If you decide to shift your holder to a different position on the rack and remove it these gromets break off. So either get a good idea where you want to place the holder or try to slide it on the rack .Once satisfied, I would press it . Was going to try a bit of expandable caulk in place of the gromet, but haven't done that. Good luck.
The product description indicates it comes with 6 double hooks, but only came with 4 double hooks plus 2 small single hooks. One of the panels was scratched and chipped, not new like the other panels I purchased.
The description says the product comes with 8 double hooks, but it only came with 6 double hooks and 2 small single hooks.
If you like the way it is pictured where each piece lines up next to the other, this inaccurate. I have standard studs in my garage, and I had to put separation between the 4 parts, so this photo is incorrect. It is deceiving and I wish I had known this, but I had handyman there and so we just used it. You have to install them into studs for it to support the weight it claims. The quality seems to be good since it holds up my belongings like ladder, vacuum, hose, etc. If you don't mind the spaces it does look nice to some people, perhaps. I mainly got it because it was all black. Rubbermaid lines up with the studs. Track system would be better.
