Barbie 2019 Holiday Doll, Blonde Curls with Red & White Gown

This doll is amazingly beautiful! I fell in love with it from the moment i opened the shipping box!

My mother loved it!

Have given my granddaughter one of these every year since 1988! She keeps them in their original box. Some of the early ones are work a fair amount of money. They are very different and beautiful ever year.

My daughter absolutely loves this Barbie Doll. Her dress is styled for the Holiays but can easily be changed into other Barbie Clothing. My daughter loves displaying her on her dresser when she is not playing with her. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is such a cute & festive looking Barbie doll. My daughter loves her! I especially like all of the little details like the painted finger nails and the earrings. My daughter has enjoyed playing with this doll, it joined right into playtime with several other Barbies she already owns. I think this is similar in quality to the other holiday Barbies we own. I do wish her hair was a little less crunchy feeling (especially on the back), but it does help hold the hair style. Overall, it's a hit for my first grader. My daughter opened this up as soon as it arrived in the mail and was super excited to play with it. Her favorite part is the dangling earrings that the doll is wearing. Barbie's typically don't come with earrings like they used to when I was a kid, so this difference was a big deal to my daughter (age 8). While the doll is beautiful from the front, once removed from the packaging, the back of her hair looks pretty terrible. The hair was styled with only the front view in mind. The back is separated, and you can see the doll's scalp. The dress is certainly festive, but not as fancy as dresses in previous years. My daughter noted that it would have been nice if the extra red layer were a separate piece that could be removed, but it is not. Her shoes are cool: strappy red stilettos. The box is all ripped.

I have been buying Holiday Barbie for over 25 years. This is the ugiest one made in that time. I ordered online, and when I opened the shipping box I found the Barbie box was unsealed. This alone ruins the collector’s value. The boxes in the stores near me were not in good shape, so I decided to keep what I received. If I send it back I run the risk of receiving another bad box. I am going to keep looking in stores, but there were not many available this year. Thisbis probably because the dolls have been so ugly the last five years or so. People are likely sick of spending the money on hideous Barbies

Walmart sent this Barbie to us in a plain white box and not the Christmas box it should come in. Sadly, it looks like a knockoff or dupe. And now it's too late to return or find the real deal. Please send toys in the proper packaging, especially since many collect Christmas Barbies and never open the (branded) boxes!
