Barbie Chesea Can Be Scientist Doll with Lab Table & Accessories, Brunette Small Doll Playset

This science set is so darned cute!!! All of the little pieces--test tube, beaker, Bunsen burner, microscope--are great for imagination play. The doll is lovely with a very sweet face. I would have liked her to have 3c or 4c hair, but the hair she does have is easier for small fingers to comb and style. The pieces are plastic and a little fragile, so not great for super rough play or being accidentally stomped on by work boots. They are perfect for a doll house though, and much safer from work boots therein. This set was a great idea for Mattel to create. I hope they have some more scientist sets in the future. We will buy them all. I especially like that this set is for pure, hard science and not another medical doctor or veterinary set.

Scientist Chelsea is a fantastic addition to the range. It is good to see girls in STEM represented, and the laboratory bench with actual recognisable chemistry equipment is fun. The Chelsea Careers dolls are great for children who'd rather play with a doll who looks their own age but still has interesting careers and inspiration for imaginative play, it is important for children especially girls to be able to see themselves in these careers. It would be nice to be able to buy career outfits separately so we could have a whole science institute with Chelsea and Todd and friends!

Brought for the lab pieces and on sell, which made it a buy. The Barbie one was good but to expensive. The test tube set up works great (size wise) for Monster high and Barbie. Have a full Mad Science Lab Classroom now, super cool.
