Barbie The Movie Collectible Ken Doll in Retro Neon Skating Outfit [Walmart Exclusive]

I'm a doll collector who especially loves male dolls. And so I always planned to buy a 'Barbie the Movie' Ken, but I couldn't quite decide which one I liked best, especially since Mattel ended up releasing several options regarding costumes. But then, 2 weeks ago, I noticed 'Retro Neon' skating Ken and 'Retro Beachwear' surfer Ken had hit the clearance. All right, easy decision. I ordered the skater for myself, and the surfer for my kid. I ORDERED MY KEN FROM THIS EXACT LISTING, i.e. the one with happy/smiling Ken pictured, and not from the listing featuring the shut-mouth 'Ryan Gosling' head. (No offense to him, nor to those who prefer that doll. I realize he's handsome. I just prefer the almost goofy cuteness of the Smiley Ken.) I also ordered the surfer from his Smiley listing. So who does Walmart ship? Ryan Gosling in the beachwear, and Ryan Gosling with the skates. :/ I thought about returning these, but we don't live close to a Walmart, and I'm in poor health, so driving anywhere, even locally, isn't easy. Decided to just keep them. 10 bucks for beach dude and 9 bucks for skating dude wasn't a bad price to pay for their clothes and shoes. Thought of my skater like a fashion pack with a body to donate. Ah, but then Monday, I went to order the new KPop Demon Hunters Jinu doll, and needed about $9 more to get free shipping. So what did I do? I took the risk; I again ordered the beachwear HAPPY/SMILING Ken from his $10 listing, hoping Walmart would send the CORRECT doll this time, and if so, I'd finally have him, the Smiley Ken I wanted, and could dress him up in Ryan's hot pink skating attire, and have the beach outfit leftover. But what happened yesterday? Walmart AGAIN delivered a Ryan Gosling Ken. -_- Yep, I opened the front door to spy his Zoolander-esque 'Blue Steel' expression staring up at me from where he was merely dropped atop the cardboard box housing the Jinu doll they'd shipped. This latest Ryan, meanwhile, was wrapped in a plastic shopping bag, yet not entirely, thus his box suffered damage to the top, and scuffs on the window. (That's neither here nor there for me, since I de-box, but for collectors who don't, watch out, for not only might you receive the wrong head on your doll, you might get a banged-up box due to a lack of proper packaging.) So this is our third Ken with Ryan's face. I initiated a request for a replacement almost immediately, because in this case, I don't even want his clothes and body; I WANT HAPPY/SMILING KEN. But Walmart won't send me a replacement nor even issue a refund unless I print out a shipping label for FedEx pick-up, or drive to drop off the doll at a FedEx facility. Um...I don't have an easy way to print a label, and if I felt well enough to drive, I would have done that in the first place! That's why I ORDERED these dolls!! TL;DR: Walmart sent wrong Ken doll on 3 occasions. Wish I would have bought them 'on the bay'. At least there, sellers have to send the exact item 'As Pictured'.

This was given to my niece as a gift and she loved it. Would definitely buy it again. Very affordable and worth the cost.

Great likeness to actor from the Barbie movies. The amount of care and accessories put into it, it should be a deluxe but it's a cheap price.

I was thrilled to find out they reissued the Barbie Movie Ken dolls with the new Ryan Gosling face mold. The outfits were always amazing, but the original dolls weren't doing it for me. These new dolls have the cool fashions and now those movie star good looks. The outfit is really nice and so fun and now they have a handsome face to go with them. Would totally recommend.

All things Barbie will be gifts. The girl I'm buying for will be five in a couple months and I won't see her until the spring. The one star rating does not in anyway reflect on the merchandise when she sees it I will relay her thoughts.
