A great old classic is still a hit

Gary April 26, 2020

When I gave this to my 6-year old grandson he jumped up and down and said they played this at school and he loved it We played for about 2 hours before Grandpa gave out. Then he got his Mom to play with him. When I left to go home he and his Dad were starting to play it. I guess he would give it 5 stars out of 5. It is a lot easier than hand drawing the grid and ships and manually recording hits and misses .

For the love of my Battleship!

Mandy December 30, 2018

Nothing says "I love you" more than sinking your loved ones' battleship(s). This is a great game that combines strategy and sheer luck and lots of fun for 2 players. I played this game growing up and loved it... I don't know what happened to it, so, of course, as an adult I felt it necessary to buy it to play it all over again--totally worth it!

Great memories.

tommy April 17, 2020

My next door neighbor who was a Drill Sargent taught me this game on paper back in 1966, before it became a board game. Took my six year old grandson two games before he figured it out. Now for the fun!! Great product.

Great classic game

BreAn May 3, 2020

Great classic game. Some people complained about the quality but I didn't have any issues with it. Pegs stay in. Stores easily in the box. My kids have played it several times and it's been a hit.

Kaylg May 16, 2020

Love this game!!! Used to play it when I was active duty...then got busy raising a family and forgot about it. Bought it when quarantine was starting. So glad I did! Love sharing it with my family. Highly recommend for good fun!

Oldie but Goodie

Misty April 8, 2020

All the pegs do not fit in designated spots. They have holes where the boats store on the side, but they are just there. They aren't secure in their spots.. Other than that, it's just like the good old days.

A classic that stands the test of time

fourekkks December 27, 2018

I had this game as a kid and loved it! I saw it and I just had to have it for my kids for family game night, and it has provided hours of fun for our family. Battleship is a classic game that has been around for decades and is still fun to this day. Very simple to learn and play for all ages.

Too many pegs and they dont fit in their spots well, but thats not a big deal. Works well and we are satisfied, especially for a better price than any of the other versions or anywhere else.

Unnecessarily inconvenient

Shopper August 14, 2020

This is a "classic" game which is so simple you can technically play it with just paper and pencil. Having a complex board with dozens of plastic pieces means the manufacturer should come up with great conveniences compared to that. This game does not quite meet that challenge. Impossible to explain why the rows and columns are labeled by simply stamping the shapes of letters or numbers into the clear plastic board. Impossible to read without squinting. A different color, or better background, or something would have solved this easily but they failed to do that. The playing pieces are numerous tiny pegs requiring a lot of dexterity and organization. Having a board with a physical ship-based piece as a target does add slightly to the basic game which is purely, and literally, a hit-or-miss guessing game with a small amount of strategy. No doubt there are computer versions and my guess is that they would be easier and just as much fun. We tried this once, but with other games on the shelf, this one might not get used again for a while.
