So pleased with the purchase of this sewing machine. Great for taking in clothes or other minor sewing needs. The unit came with so many great extras. Thank you, T
I was surprised how small this machine is. but boy does she run!! I'm 72 years old...sewn all my life. I wanted a very basic. liteweight machine. I didn't want 60 stitches.....I sew mostly by hand. She has 1 speed.....not real fast, but ok for me. My husband laughed at her...said she looks like a toy. and she does!! He wanted to buy me a big fancy machine, but I said NO....I want this little cutie!! Love her %26 the price was great!!
It's absolutely a great buy. As a Mema who sews all the time for Christmas pjs this was the Best Buy for the money you can't go wrong. I was visiting my daughter and grands in another state and wanted to get them done while here. But she didn't have a sewing machine. So I figured I would order something my granddaughter could learn on she's 12. And it's very user friendly. I did see people complaining about the size of the foot pedal but didn't let that stop me from ordering it. What I didn't realize was that it actually has a lever on the machine itself that you can use fast or slow for sewing. So you don't actually need to use the pedal. Again what a great buy. Best 60 dollars I ever spent. Actually when I get home I'll most likely be ordering 2 more. One for my 6 year old granddaughter and 1 as a backup for quick fixes for me since it's so lightweight and easy to get out. And set up. As you can see I did the pants in about a half hour.
I thought the price was good, but the best thing about this sewing machine is that it arrived ready to go! If you've never used a sewing machine you will be very happy to know this machine comes already threaded! You can literally plug it in and get started right away.
This is the "heavy duty" version of this brand of sewing machine. It does a great job sewing denim as well as other fabrics. Very easy to use, instructions are very clear. It is also lightweight, which is great for a senior like me.
I do not sew. Only things I've made that actually were usable were curtains. Rod pocket, nothing fancy. Sold my grownup machine at a yard sale, figured I wouldn't need it ever again, wrong. This reminds me of a kids toy but actually for small jobs it's perfect. To date I have added stitching to curtains (saved a bundle) let out 3 pairs of jeans (tricky project but saved me another bundle) hemmed my sons pants %26 mine (appears they only make pants for giants with 40 inch legs. It has limitations but if you just need a stitch here or there, this is great. Think it would be nice if you have a child who wants to learn. For the money, think this is an good option.
I was trying to teach a middle schooler on this before I let her on my machine. This isn’t a good machine for a beginner. The tension is not automatic and the slow speed is not slow.
faulty foot pedal
There are so many things wrong with this machine - when I first starting using it thread would constantly break. Thread would some how wind on the upper lever mechanism inside the machine. This slowed down the machine and eventually stopped. Was able to pull some thread off with forceps. Worked again for about two days and then screw broke off that holds the upper lever mechanism together. Unable to fix.
The top stitches all come out as straight line. I tried to adjust the tension but still the same. Tried on a light weight twill fabric as well as a weaving cotton, same result. Very noisy when running, also only hand button works not foot pedal. It's a very cute machine that looks like a toy. I'm not an advanced sewer but this is like a pedal bike for kid instead of a real bike for adults. I have to return it.
