I'm sure I'll get better at waving!

MariBurgerHead June 5, 2020

I like this. I normally get up take a bath, wash my hair and let it dry. Now I spend about 15 minutes more but I like the results. The first time I tried it my hair was damp and it turned out OK. I watched 3 tutorials to see what I was really suppose to do and just using a little spray heat stuff (I borrowed from my granddaughter) seemed to make it last longer. I need some practice waiving without burning my ears and head but I like it. The only thing wrong, and it's not a big thing, is there are hardly any instructions. After a few times of use it's self explanatory. I'm 63 and don't spend a lot of time on my hair so the younger women probably have this figured out without instructions! I would recommend this for anyone.

Beach wave ready in a landlocked state!

jojo19 June 3, 2020

I had great results using the Bed Head Swerve Curve Hair Waver and Wand in 1! I have very fine, dull, frizzy hair. It's not easy to add volume, reduce frizz and add shine. My hair just kind of lays on my shoulders, blah. I hoped this curler was up for the task to liven up my look! Very easy to use! Multiply heat settings, I put the setting on low, for my hair type. You have the option of placing it to high which will raise the heat to 400°f! The curler blinks red until it reaches your chosen heat level. Nice to know when it turns solid red, it's ready to use. It heats up SUPER quick! Also, a nice bonus included.... a heat protective glove. First, I wanted to try for beachy waves. The Plate Locking switch is located at the top of the unit. Starting from the root, down, like magic.... a beautiful ribbon appears. It reminds me of Christmas Candy! I never knew what Tourmaline Ceramic Technology was before I used this styling iron, but great volume, tamed frizz and beautiful shine were the result! No damage. Love the look! Fun and easy to style and looks like I had it done in a salon. I also tried the loose tousled curl, using the whole barrel of the curler. (Locked it at the top) It gave a nice smooth, pronounced wave. I added pictures of both curl settings. A before and after. See below. Dual Voltage also makes this a tool you can travel with! All and all, my hair looks pretty fab! My new favorite tool!

Adds volume!

LaurenH June 3, 2020

My hair is fine and limp. I wanted something to give me a little volume and some waves. This is exactly what I needed. I used it to make the beachy waves. It is super simple to use, I started a the top and clamped sections of hair till I got to the bottom. I didn't even need to hold the hair in the clamp long before the waves were ready. It added just enough waves to give my hair some body and volume. You can also use it to make tousled loose curls.

Nice waves, easy to use!

MomOf3 May 29, 2020

I have 3 daughters and they all said how easy it was to use the Bed Head Swerve Curve Hair Wand! It gets really hot very fast! The girls said they didn't even have to put it on the highest setting to get great waves. They started at their scalp and just worked their way down to the ends in small sections to get cool, beach waves. I like that it has an auto shut off feature, has a large cool tip for better handling and even comes with a glove to protect from burns.

It gets very hot!

Deedee June 4, 2020

It turns out my hair is actually a bit too short to use this device properly but it looks as if it would really do the job if you want "beachy waves" as they say. When the two sides of the barrel are hooked together you can wrap your hair around the barrel, which is very wide and oval, so for me it just gives a bit of a lift. Frankly that was what I was looking for anyway so I'm happy but I'm clearly not using it as intended. They warned to start by using it on the coolest setting which I did. Even that is remarkably hot. They send a heat-proof glove. I didn't use it at first. Uh oh. Quickly I put it on. I still have to be very careful to keep it away from my scalp. Really. Hot Hot Hot But it does curl very quickly. I can't imagine what it would be like on high but I assume you would smell burning hair. It's fun to use. I think I'll let my hair grow just to see what it does. The two barrels have indents, one fits into the other, which makes it perfect for the swervey look.

Fun and easy

GardenWitch June 9, 2020

This 2 in one iron is easy to use. I love the beach waves. The iron gets very hot but it's adjustable. This makes it great for all hair types. It even comes with a hear protective glove. You will need to use smaller hair sections for the curls. Beach waves took me 6 minutes and I combed it with my fingers. My hair is very straight.

Hair waver

Lil June 11, 2020

I've had always wanted to try this finally got my hands on one! It's amazing love it, i have very long hair i thought it would take me forever to wave my hair nope i was wrong took me about 15min it heats up super quick. It heats up to 400 degrees. The plates are ceramic which is a plus it didn't pull on my hair and it left my hair FRIZZ free , i recommend to use a heat protector to reduce any damage. Its a 2 in one tool u can use the clamping method to get that beachy wave look and u can also use it as a wand for tighter curls . I love that it also comes with a lock switch to keep it closed and makes it easier to store it.

Bed Head Swerve Curve Hair Waver and Wand

Kimmie June 3, 2020

I received my Bed Head Swerve Curve Hair Waver and Wand and tried it out. First of all let messy it get extremely hot even just on medium. I tried both the options for using the product and I was disappointed when trying to curl my hair, it's too difficult to try to hold my hair in place while waiting for it to curl. I used the glove and it was still pretty hot. I had better luck with the crimper option. The bed Head swerve curve waver wand did a really good job on my hair it did take awhile because my hair is long. Also the tip is not cool it gets very hot too. I will likely use this product mostly when I have more time to do my hair. For the quick hair fixes in the mornings I perfer the clamp type curling iron because it's much quicker. I recommend this product if you are very good at doing your hair and you also have the time to spend doing it.

Huge waves

CaliCutie June 16, 2020

This curling iron by Bed Head heats up very quickly and instantly creates huge waves in my hair. The down side is if you have really long hair like I do it's a pain matching up the waves when you reposition the iron. It's perfect for shorter or mid length wavy Bob cuts though. As far as irons go this one heats up fast, curls hair well and works like you'd want an iron to work.

Tip: Use some

TiredButHappyTigerMom May 31, 2020

I was excited to try this hair waver. My first impression was that it was pretty and felt well made. The cord is long enough to use on both sides of my head and I like that the cord can twist/spin, which is helpful if you want to twirl your hair around it. There is a nice lock on the end of the clamp to keep it closed for storage. There is an on/off switch with a light and a dial for the temperature. It goes from low-med-high. Even on medium, it gets very hot. The thinner your hair, the less heat you need. On the box, it says it can do 2 styles, beachy waves and tousled curls. The beachy waves is easy to do; you just clamp down near the roots on a section of your hair, for about 5-8 seconds, and release and move down towards the ends. I could not accomplish the tousled curls. I have no idea how it can be accomplished in a nice way. It says clamp down and then twist your hair around it, but you get a crease in your hair that doesn't match the rest of the length of your hair. Weird! I didn't really care for the finished product. My hair looked dry and a little frizzy. It also made my white hair stand out like crazy! Apparently, white hair is stubborn to heat styling. I put some oil in it to see if it would help but it didn't do much. It did look good when I wet it though, so if you are going to the beach, it would be cute. Because of the clamping, it made my hair at where I part it look flat; I would definitely do a comb-over/flip your hair to make it look nicer. It did get my hair lots of volume but I couldn't stand the frizziness. This is definitely a case by case, differing opinions product. In other words, depending on personal preference and hair type, it's a hit or miss. I do like that it comes with a heat-protective glove. Trust me, it helps!
