Revlon 1200W Ionic Ceramic 1" & 1-1/2" Hot Air Styling Kit, Red

I love this hair tool! It dries so gently and quietly I can even use it on my longhair cat without any trouble! The versatility of the attachments is wonderful and helps achieve a salon blowout look and coifed bangs in a much shorter time than a regular hair dryer. I've found it to be less damaging than a regular curling iron and unless I'm trying to get true ringlets it's now my number one tool.

BLOT: This is a cheaply made, insufficiently designed tool. It has a couple of pros—lightweight and fairly quiet—that are outweighed by significant cons. Namely, low power, air that blows in such a way that it makes styling harder not easier, attachments that get too hot, and a release mechanism that was glitchy on my first use. It's frustrating that manufacturers are making such unintelligent products.

I have used a very similar Revlon styling brush for years. Recently, it developed a short in the electrical cord. I was afraid I wouldn't find a comparable model anymore and then I came across this styling brush. I'm so glad I found it. I used it for the first time today and it is great. Whether I want a soft straight look (1 1/2" brush) or more curly (1" brush), this styling brush gets it done.

My first one lasted 3 yrs and was dropped countless times and used several times a week. I more than got my monies worth from it. I love the sleeker hair I got with it. So when it broke I had to get one fast. I know this will last a long time as well. There are more expensive models out there but this is just as good and a way better price!

For starters, I have a ton of hair. It's thick, it's curly, and it goes almost all the way to my butt. It's also frizzy. I really didn't think this was going to work, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. The Good: -It's relatively simple to use -It cut my drying time in half -My hair came out pretty, shiny, and smooth (although not quite as smooth as if I had used a flat iron) -The brush grabs hair and holds on nicely, but it doesn't really tangle -It's powerful enough to get all my hair thoroughly dried -The brush gives a nice little curl at the ends of you roll it thru them for a few The Bad: -The blow dryer concentrator attachment is weak at best (I ended up rough drying my hair 60% with a regular blow dryer first) -For really long hair such as mine, the larger-barreled brush really isn't quite big enough -It's pretty loud -The on/off switch is kinda awkward to use as it's flush with the handle Honestly, I do really like it, and it's totally worth it for the money.

All in all, after I ordered this Hot Air Brush and had a week to think about it while I was waiting for it to arrive, I started thinking it wasn’t going to work for me and fully expected that I would return it. I decided to give it a try anyway, and it turns out that I am really happy with it considering what I paid and how I use it! *****BIGGEST TIP***** If you use a cool setting a lot as a momentary burst to set hair, buy a hot air brush that has a separate cool button. The cool setting on this hot air brush is one of the temperature slider settings and it is a little cumbersome to use. *****LIKES***** > this is much easier than using a separate hair dryer and a round styling brush > the bristles are soft and do not hurt my head > the bristles hold my hair > the swivel cord is helpful > low heat is a nice drying temp for being so close to the hair > the extra non-brush attachment is good for general drying on both low and high heat setting > the brush has a cool setting > the 1200 watts is good, so if you want higher heat you do get it *****WISH IT WASN’T SO***** > the attachments are a little difficult to remove and I fear breaking the plastic mechanism (but haven’t yet, so maybe it will be fine) > the cool setting is part of the temperature setting switch that you need to slide, rather than a separate button that you push. *****HOW THE HOT AIR BRUSH WORKS FOR ME***** I have somewhat thin hair and I can completely dry my hair with just this Hot Air Brush. I dry it in thin sections starting at the top of my head, working down the sides, and wrap the hair over the brush to lift my roots and give my hair body. (I don't need to use the cool setting.) This is hard to do in the back, so I do just near the top of my head, and the very ends to make them straight and slightly curl under, and then use the non-brush attachment to finish drying. My hair looks a lot nicer ever since I have been using this brush.

This is the best hot air brush! I had another brand & this one tops it! This is my second Revlon styling brush, I broke the plug on my first one. Found it on Walmart.com & got it for less than $20. It curls , styles & makes hair shine! My daughter ordered one after using mine.

Did not work. Makes hair frizzy. Waste of money.

This item was returned because it was missing parts and it was used. I still have not received my refund

I read reviews and purchased the 1200W. However, I am finding that it is drying too fast and my hair is straight in places instead of curled even though I've wrapped the hair around the barrel. Using it on low helps, but doesn't solve the problem.
