actually, I started taking beetroot 8,000 mg because I have emphysema and read that it can be helpful for people with emphysema. unfortunately it wasn't, But before taking it, I had my blood pressure checked at my 6-month doctor visit. my BP was 120/90 when I questioned the 90 the nurse told me 90 was just a new 80. But after taking the beetroot capsules 8,000 mg twice daily My next six month check up my BP was 112/75. I wasn't considered to have high blood pressure to begin with, but the drop in blood pressure I hope will extend my life and lessen the possibility of a stroke. I am not into "Natural/herbal" supplements at all but I won't stop taking this because I saw the results.
