Behrens 31-Gallon Steel Trash Can

I love farmhouse chic, but finding affordably priced planters to put my topiaries was impossible-so I thought I'd try these. After a few different tweaks-they work! Sadly, the handles were a give away that they were trash cans so my friend suggested I add a bow to detract-and I did. Then I decided to use the bow in front to cover up the handle. So flipping the handles around and used the bow to cover the handle, and it no longer looks like garbage, but as it was intended. I may end up spray painting them black, but for now, they look cute and work as is.

Bought it on sale at Walmart, better price than Home Depot and Amazon. I'm using it as a replacement for an old tote bin that was breaking down to keep the critters out of the garbage. It is strong, thick and galvanized steel, and the lid can be clamped on. I am satisfied and the critters have moved on.

I love this garbage can. I have a medium sized one and a large sized one. It's especially useful for all of my squirrels. They love to try to get into wherever the food is and eat as much as they want. I would rather they didn't. I put all of my sunflower seeds and any other item I'm giving to them for food and put the cover on. I know the can will keep the food safe. I also have raccoons and possums in my backyard at night and try as they might to get to the seeds, they can't open the lid.

Good price! It's steel and the lid fits tight. I bought it to put my 40lb bags of bird seed in to keep the squirrels out. I leave my garage door open some and have for years for my outdoor cat. The squirrels suddenly discovered the food inside. They had chewed a big hole in my heavy plastic container. And a hole in a bag of food sitting out. The steel can is working great!

Nice cans. Tops fit well. Not too heavy, but built to last. Needed something sturdier than plastic (to keep animals out). Bought one at Walmart about 20 years ago, so, I gave them a shot again. Amazingly, they're not all that much more expensive.

Purchased so I can keep black oil sunflower seeds for the birds in bulk. I keep it outdoors on the patio and didn't want critters gnawing through a plastic tote, so I opted for this steel trash can instead, and it's working well. The squirrels sit on the lid in the early morning waiting for me to open it up, but they haven't been able to break in ;)

Finally got something the rodents can't get into. I use strictly for birdseed. Put sunflower seed loose in first then plastic containers of other seeds on top. When time to feed just lift out plastic containers, feed, then replace in can and seal shut with lid.

The damaged can affects ill fitting lid, I purchased to store and protect feed so this will not work as the lid seal is compromised with the damage. The undamaged cans are nice and functional. I purchase online I don't drive, making returning a problem.

Can did not have lid that went with it. 0n looking closer LG dent running along bottom of can . Wary of it rusting out!? Driver took pictures of it. company refused to replace it . I have to deliver it back myself being in W/C with no transportation. I do believe it could have been handled better.

Came from store without a lid and the delivery person took it back to store and now I am trying to get my money back because they keep saying to return it to store when it was and was not left here. The delivery photo even shows it was not delivered here
