BEHRENS Galvanized Steel Locking Lid Storage Can, 6-Gallon

I feel like I'm back on the farm when I use this classic steel bucket. It's sturdy and the lid-locking feature is very handy. I keep it outside, filled with birdseed, and the locked top keeps critters out. Steel is also recyclable if I ever run out of uses for it.

Nicely designed and heavy duty bucket with locking lid. Highly recommend. Only downside was on the first order I didn't receive the lid, only the bucket. The second order arrived but was a few days late. This was all Walmart and the poor shipping carriers fault.

Very nice bucket, thick heavy duty, nice-looking. I will note that while an advertised feature (on the product itself) is that it is rust proof, it also says "dry storage only," which seems like a slight contradiction. I actually wanted to use it for something wet, so I wasn't surprised when the water leaked out the bottom, little by little over time. The purpose I wanted to use it for was temporary though, and not storage, so while i find the lack of a "wet storage feature" a bit annoying, I'm okay with it. Just thought I'd let others know, esp since I see that apparently these things are often used as ice buckets......while ice is not "wet" in the typical sense, I'm sure we all see the problem here.

I like that it was cheaper than going into any department store and buying the same size and brand. Summers here in the desert (100 to 119 degrees) does things to the best plastics that it will never do to a metal 6 gallon can with a lid. I have 3 already and use them outdoors for Treger pellets, and chicken supplements. Plan to purchase more.

I use this pail with 8gal trash bags to seal away spent cat litter. Much better than a Litter Genie or other home trash can. The lid really does its job when it comes to containing odors, and the small size ensures that it doesn't get so full that it becomes impossible to carry when it comes time to take out the trash.

W Not ae are big time bird feeders and was keeping the seed in a large Tupperware type container designed for pet food but the squirrels kept chewing holes in the lid and getting into the seed. We opted for this container an it solved the problem. not a better price anywhere.

Sturdy steel buckets with locking lids that are ideal for keeping insets and critters out of feed. I use them for bird seed and each bucket holds 25 pounds. You can find snap-on rubber handles for these buckets sold by the manufacturer and I do recommend those as it makes carrying them much easier on the hands.

I have a huge galvanized steel trashcan for my bird. This was gonna be a gift for a friend. I put a 10 pound bag of birdseed in there from Walmart as well as a scoop. She is currently feeding a different kind of birdseed and I didn't see much activity and I knew that sunflower seed was the best because that's what I've used for years. I also gave her an old birdfeeder I had

I have several of these. They are sturdy but will rust after several years outside IF you keep moist soil in them. Otherwise, they last a long time, and animales can't get them open. The ONLY reason I gave it 3 out of 5 stars is because Walmart delivered it WITHOUT the lid, so I had to return it, which was very frustrating. Walmart, do better. That lower rating is on Walmart, not the manufacturer.

I thought it would be a good fit for soako.g some clay LECA pieces, I'm instru ted to soak them for 24 hours.At the 1 houd mark, I saw water collecti g in the lid that I was using as a saucer- just in case- the saucer had water in it. at6 hours there was a large puddle. It's probably just a fluke, but IT LEAKS.
