BEHRENS Galvanized Steel Locking Lid Storage Can, 6-Gallon

I shopped Amazon for this product. The prices were similar but addition shipping was expensive. I am a Prime member but shipping was not free. I shopped my local Walmart and found the buckets but the lids were missing. Same price online from Walmart.com so I ordered them. Fast free shipping. The product is exactly what I was looking for and much cheaper than Amazon.

Fantastic bucket. Can easily hold stones filled to the top. Came with correct lid and in great condition opposite the negative reviews. Of course, it really depends on who handles it and delivers it. You can see in other stores even that the lids are separate. The one store I checked in has a sign not to forget to get a lid. Apparently, even people buying them directly forget lids. That's really the manufacturers fault by how they deal with it. Great bucket though. This bucket is dry only. Can caulk the seams if wanting wet. They also have other size buckets for wet where the seams are done from factory. Although, some people don't like caulked seams for whatever reason so they rate those buckets negatively. Ha ha. I need this for lots of stones and dirt and right away it did better than a plastic 4 gal bucket with ease. Enjoy :)

I bought this to use as an ash can for removal of potentially warm ashes from my woodstove and it is adequate for that purpose. We will see in the future how well it holds up. I like the locking lid feature because if you set it outside you don't want ashes being blown out by any breeze, and this prevents that. The size enables it to hold what I generally remove after having a fire in the stove and makes it easy to carry it to our garden, where we typically spread our ashes.

Great size, easy to use. Perfect for chicken feed, dog food, etc. I using it to store black oil sunflower seeds for my chickens and bird feeders. I am so pleased with it that I plan to order another one or two of them. The handle locks the lid on so no critters can get into it.

I was very glad that the label that came with the can indicated that it is animal proof. I have this small can by a shrub in my backyard where I use it to put dog poop bags in. There is no smell and the ample, but non-descript size of the can doesn't make it an eye-soar.

this is the perfect small metal bucket to store bird seed. the handle locks the top in place so the squirrel cant get in. because it's metal the squirrel can't chew through the lid. this is the second one I bought. now I have one for the feeders in my backyard and my front yard.

This is our third Behrens pail. We use it outside for dog clean up, so it takes a beating. I was very surprised to get the latest version: handle? What handle? I know the handle on the lid was a weak point. That's why we needed to replace the one we had! But I'm not convinced by the no-handle-on-the-lid approach, especially given its purpose. I recommend this, with that caveat. Now I just need to figure out how to add my own handle.

This can is great except that I thought it would be critter (animal) proof %26 waterproof but the lid doesn't fit tight enough for that. The carrying handle works great to move it. I use it to store my wild bird seed %26 for that purpose it is good.

The only reason I don't recommend this item is because photos showed the lid having a handle and it doesn't have one. The Walmart AI "customer service" was no help and it offered a return as the only solution. I emailed the manufacturer and they explained their reason for redesigning the lid, but Walmart still shows this bucket's lid with a handle.... which is one reason I ordered this item instead of another.
