Like it🤗

Haven't used yet, but seems strudy and well made, it costs less than others i'd looked at, and delivery was good. Will be helpful getting my somewhat heavy kayak around and up a small hill , esp. being a 77 yr. Old ! I have other kayaks but not one with drain holes.

Works well. Easy to use and put together. Way better than the ones that just have the straps and kayak just sits on them- kept falling off. Kayak does not fall off of this one because it holds in the scupper holes. Great buy

Best purchase ever! I use this everyday. Actually i attach the front of the kayak to the back of my golf cart with a rope and use these wheels as a trailer. Using these kayak wheels i can be on the lake with all my fishing gear within 10 minutes.

It works well and appears to be sturdy. I've used it once, and it worked as expected. The foam on the bars nakes it too big to fit in the holes, but I was able to get it to work.

A couple points

Chris October 18, 2024

I went back and forth on this style of dolly, or the other kind where you rest on top and probably have to strap the kayak in place. I'm not sure whether I made the right choice, but I can speak to this one. This thing takes some getting used to, some practice to become very useful. I have an Ascend 12T. At first I tried putting the kayak on the ground, lifting from the rear with my left hand, and placing this dolly with my right. That is very difficult, as the distance is a bit long and the poles on this thing a bit long. It is very awkward to try to get into place this way, as the kayak will roll to one side or the other. I roof mount my kayak on a RAV4, so I've found it much easier to place and remove this dolly while placing or removing from the roof rack. Very easy this way. Don't take the kayak to the ground and then lift again to place the dolly. Seems like a no brainer, but if you've been used to one order of operations for months you get muscle memory and you probably won't deviate on your first attempt. Water side is very similar. The issue with my kayak is it has a point, and will roll from one side to the other if you try to balance on the nose on solid ground. It is a small human powered boat, which means it is buoyant. Leave the nose in the water when placing or removing this dolly water side. Simple. But again, if you have been doing something else, it won't immediately occur to deviate. What immediately occurred to me, vehicle side and water side, was to muscle it on the ground. Don't be like me. Work smarter. When the dolly is mounted, the kayak rolls very easy. For a few weeks now I've been transiting limestone gravel lots, and it is so easy with this style. Not having to strap is great. Just learn those tricks for mounting the kayak on this one, and you're gone. Very little effort, even with the kayak fully loaded with all my gear. The one drawback I have is the padding wraps around the insert poles. I understand why they're there: to protect plastic kayaks from possible damage stemming from friction on metal. ESPECIALLY if you carelessly cause deformity in the metal and there is a spur. This soft foam, though, if your angle isn't PERFECT will bunch up. Especially if wet. I've gotten better at avoiding this with practice, but it can be kind of annoying. It's the reason I dinged the review a star. I can see this basically foam material degrading and breaking away. I think a soft plastic, something similar to common kayak materials, might be a better solution? But I really like this thing. It only took two trips for me to get its use down like a pro.

Doesn't fit

Be aware that this can not be used on Lifetime kayak because these poles are to big for lifetime drainage holes
