These should absolutely not be advertised as water shoes. I use the warm therapy pool and I get tired of feeling the grit and sand under my feet so I search for some water shoes and came upon these. I used them in the pool twice and decided they were unsafe to use. The bottom does not have enough grip to be worn around water. I was fine on the rough pool decking but would slip in the pool. As I was thinking to myself, these are not safe I should not be wearing these - I took a hard fall and landed in the hospital for 10 hours to repair a fractured vertebrae. I don't see how these could be appropriate for hiking near water either. If you are just anticipating some puddles on the trail, ok fine. But if you are intentionally crossing creeks, etc. I would think that would be even more dangerous than the pool with rounded rocks and moss making things slippery. I think these could even be considered dangerous on wet grass.
