Berkley Gulp products smell like a combination of sour pickles and gym bags, but fish love the heck out of these little guys. Works great as a drop shot bait for Panfish/Trout. I also like to tip an inline spinner bait with one of these to give the fish a little something extra to bite onto.
The juice that these come in stinks but apparently the fish love them. My only dislike is the tail gets bitten off quite often but I just do a modified nose hook on them and they keep catching fish. I can't even tell you how many fish I have caught off one jar.
This bait is a secret to my tackle box fish love it!
Typical high quality Berkly gulp bait. Wiggly, very small, good for bream
This bait has great action for hungry panfish
Perfect to catch crappie with!
Perferct for small pan fish
We purchase these for our lake on site at the resort and our customers love this!
great for panfish
Always love the fry from gulp alive. It's is much easier to use and could be kept in car so don't have to worry about getting live bait when spur of the moment fishing. They are only average on durability. Do have to rehook and check after every fish. Have use the same fry for 10 fish but also have it ripped off the hook with one. I find it best using a barbed ice fishing jig being the best for this bait. There are negatives. The product does like to leak. So I either do not take the foil off completely(usually help) or put in a small glad twist lock container. Also I find the Orange is the best at the area I fish at. However, can only order one at a time, that's a little upsetting. But with Walmart free shipp for site to store, I just make multiple purchases.
