Does what it's supposed to, but...
It does count the line, but it doesn't like to stay in place on the pole. It works fine, but it takes a bit of tweaking to get it in place for the line to read properly. I put it in place, use it for the depth, then take it back off.

Simple to install and use
Installed on 2 rods a 320 gt and a 330 for trolling and deep sea fishing. It is pretty accurate trying out in the field. Will try out this weekend while trolling. I'll review again in a month or so.

Great product at a reasonable price.

Close but no cigar
He doesnt work accurately 100% of the time. If you counted the same line half a dozen times the measurement wouldnt be the same every time but they would be very close. But it does work.

In a pinch
It works, but. It is not the greatest line counter ever built. Price was right!

Berkley Clip on line counter
Worked at first,then didn't work after.Took it apart and noticed the grommet holding the counter rod fell off.Fixed it twice and stuck some folded paper on top to hold it in place. You get what you pay for,a cheap $15 dollar piece of doodoo.
