Im no fishing expert but this line is what I use. I was using the clear line but switched over to the low visibility green. Ever since I switched, the fish can't stay away. Im catching more fish and bigger fish than ever before. It seems to be working for me and I have but any problems with it.

Don't get mad but I use it for crafting. Last purpose was I bought a copper bell to place by my deceased daughter's picture and the bell had no ring. I used fish line tied to a metal fishing weight. Works perfect. It's great for hanging candles from ceiling at Holloween. Thanks. Lots on the real will use again

The standard by which all fishing lines should abide by. Too many clowns out there taking after tournament fishers are using excessive braid weights for bass. You don't need 30 lb braid for bass. Braid does not stretch and harms the fish's mouth when you set the hook. Mono is an efficient hook set, and has been for decades, yet is gentler on the set. Learn skills like drag setting and proper knot tying and you won't need an overweighted braid to drag fish to the boat on the surface. Tournament fishers don't care about the welfare of the fish, they care about dragging it in and winning. Be thoughtful and fish with a conservationist's conscience. Trilene XL is all you need. It holds a knot better than many lines out there and is extremely limp.

I don't use a lot of mono any more, but when I do, Trilene is the brand that I use. I tried this XL version because I wanted something very limp for a particular fishing trip. I was fishing for whiting in the surf. I had it spooled onto both baitcasting and spinning reels. It worked great. I found it's strength to be good and I really liked the flexibility. And of course it was great for knots, and cast surprisingly far. After my trip, because it was already on my reels I fresh-water fished as well, and used it to catch catfish and bass. It worked great. I will continue mostly using braid, but when I want monofilament, Trilene will be the one I use. It is a great line at a good price.

Supple and strong. 8lb Berkley trilene is my go to for when I need quick line changes while out fishing. The clear/blue color is pretty much invisible underwater. I primarily use this for pan and bass fishing but if it can handle those I can see trout or even some channel cats being fine given proper reel drag with the 8LB strength. For the particulars about the diameter I saw that it was listed at .010in or .25mm I also noticed that unlike some other line with this being the extra limp version it didn't have any memory issues like some right off the spool. I'm still casting it out from a couple months ago and I'm not getting any spirals or wind knots to this day. You can't go wrong with this line.
