i chose this specific yarn to make a cozy blanket for my first great grandson who is due to arrive on 12\17\2026!! the blanket is beautiful, cuddly and warm enough for a Nothern Indiana winter!! durableenough to remain beautiful, warm, and cozy through many years of use.
Bernat Bulky yarn for me is great for making cardigans, scarves and blankets! It's so easy to crochet with and it "frogs" easy, too! It's easy to use. The texture is very soft but it's very stable yarn which is why this yarn is one of my favorites to use!! Try it, you might just like it!! I recommend it!
I love this yarn. Love the different colors it comes in and its so soft and warm. I'm making my third blanket now. They have all been adult blankets. My 10 year old daughter just finished her very first blanket using this yarn. She did a beautiful job and sleeps with it every night!
I had started a baby afghan and needed lots more yarn but Walmart was sold out in the two closest stores so I ordered online. My order was there in 2 days, and the product is exactly what I ordered. This Bernat Baby's Yarn is almost like chanell, or maybe plush terry, somewhat bulky and works up easily. The afghan is absolutely beautiful. I posted 2 pics, but they don't do justice to the beauty of this afghan. Then again, I'm not the best photographer. The price was right and I would reccommend using this to all crafters. I love the free site to store shipping.
I hadn't tried this yarn before but once I i felt it's softness I knew I had to try it. I crocheted an afghan using an L size crochet hook. It came along quickly due to the thickness of the yarn. I've already been asked by a friend to make her one. I'm not sure I can ever go back to regular yarn!
I absolutely love this yarn over many other chenille type yarns. It’s so easy to work with and I can pull it through a magic ring/magic circle, if you know you know. It hardly breaks. It’s so fluffy and little to no fuzzies when my toddler is playing with his toys nonstop.
The yarn itself is lovely, but I've learned chunky yarn isn't my preference. This one is a bit thinner than other chunky options, yet still not something I'd buy again. Chunky-yarn lovers, though, will probably appreciate it.
Saddened that Walmart varies this price from 7-$15. In store one week I paid $12, the next week I paid $7 online I found out about low pricing only through group chatter. This is sad. I should have been refunded difference with such a price difference so close with same company. This is shameful Walmart. The yarn is great made a beautiful blanket. Companies need to keep prices consistently low and stop price gouging
The item is fine. Its the delivery system. The drivers need to pay close attention to addresses. Delivered to wrong address that I physically had to retrieve by the picture taken or they would have kept it. That should not have happened. I also chose ship and not delivery from store. So 2 errors occurred on the shipping process.
I really liked this yarn. I started a blanket with no problems and went back for 2 more. Despite being the same dye lot, the difference in color was apparent. I ended up liking the new variation better (the greys didn’t get as dark) and used the 2 new ones for a new blanket. I went back again for 4 more as they were on sale, and it was the same variation as the original one I bought. I started a new blanket, but the last 1/4 of the first skein was unusable. One side of the strand was bare all the way to the end. I opened the other 3 and the entire skein was the same way. The quality control has obviously gone downhill, not sure I’d buy this again.
