I bought this item last minute for my parents as I wanted a pre-lit tree. It exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend this tree as you do not have to put any ornaments on the tree due to the lights being very bright. the branches are very short therefore you would not be able to put any ornaments on the tree as you can look by the pictures.
i like the fact that you can disconnect the led bulbs and just have the fiber optics on for a softer mood or just dont want it brighter. the downfall without having a remote is you have to unplug it everytime to turn off and then refind the setting you want. also the box for the different settings is at the base of tree. if you have a hard time getting up and down this tree is not for you. overall i dont regret the purchase.
It looks nice, the fiber optic is a nice effect. The "needles", however, look like thin strips of plastic bags. They're okay when you stand back a bit, but not terribly realistic. It remains to be seen if they will survive being packed up and re-used next year.
Good points: It is very easy to assemble, the stand is sturdy and easy to attach, and the shape is perfect. Bad points: When it said pre-lit, I thought there would be lights all over the tree, not one light sticking out of the end of each branch. The needles on this tree can by no means pass as real.
The star at the top is very dim. It may work for some people, and we are using ours, but if I knew what I know now, I would've gone with a different tree. The branches look cheap. We bent the star down and put our own star at the top. So, we are making it work, and making the best of our purchase.
very cheap made. Definitely has the im totally a fake tree look. there's no pwer switch so if you unplug it you have too reset the light brightness and the pattern. Also the switch box for this is at the very bottom by the stand. i will probably return it i think its way over priced for what you get. paid $90.00 for it..
The tree looks very different in person than in the listing, and the star topper is a big part of that. The included star is perfectly shaped, overly bright, and gives the tree a noticeably fake appearance. On top of that, the lighting on fiber-optic trees is naturally harsh: the color wheel inside causes the lights to pulse or blink even on the lowest setting, and there's no way to soften or dim them. The “random” black plug you found is usually just the unused connector for the star or optional accessories, so it isn't meant to attach to anything else. Overall, if the blinking is bothersome now, it won't improve, and the unrealistic topper doesn't help the look of the tree.
fiber optic looks great, but the led lights are far too bright and really take away from the fibers, needs a way to turn the led lights completely off and just have the fibers light up. was not described as a fiber optic tree with LEDs so unfortunately I'm stuck with having lights that I didn't want.
Very cheap looking and the colors are set not able to change or customize. I was expecting something different as far as the colors of the lights being able to customize. That may be where I went wrong. I didn't not like it and will be returning it.
The tree isn't as the photo shows. It isn't full and it's scrawny. It will not hold many ornaments. I'm thinking they upped the price saying it was over $200, but on sale for $99 for black Friday, just to get people to fall for it and buy it, but it isn't worth more than $50
