sometimes a little salty . I am from Queens NYC . I was raised on Hellman's brand mayonnaise . I'm 70yo and I I know that taste because I've lived in NM , AZ , Cali , and other states . I was able to find this great product with their very recognizable jar and label . but in the SW. USA . where it's called " BEST FOODS " I LOVE THIS MAYONNAISE because of its flavor and texture , but , it brings my memories of when I my daddy and I making bologna sandwiches and spreading , "HELLMAN'S" mayonnaise . I use Best Food Mayonnaise in many recipes and salads, and it's a family secret ingredient for mash potatoes YUMMMM .And even a cake recipe, yes, chocolate cake. Best Food Mayonnaise is a family tradition, and I have shared the recipes, and the ingredients have no substitutions. If the recipe calls for mayo, it will say Best Food Mayonnaise ONLY. Yeah... If it's mayo you want, go for this brand and size. I'm not feeling the price, but such is the marketing these days on everything! (Don't get me started on that, right?) The smaller containers empty too fast for my usage, but there is no difference in quality from what I could tell. The taste? (Glad you asked!) Mildly flavored... allowing you to get as creative as you want with your own choice of seasonings. I have used/tried many shaker flavors, as well as lemon juice and various sauce add-ons. This is a very versatile base if you get creative or use as is.

This is our family go to always good flavor,good texture and good price especially when you use for ranch dressing it doesn't have that artificial taste like bottled ranch dressing

I’m having several problems with this last order this particular bottle of Best Foods mayonnaise had a stab in the side of it where I did not see and I put it in the refrigerator when I did pull it out to start using it yesterday I realized it had a stab like a knife stab in the side of it just under the plastic label. It doesn’t look accidental and like I said, in my other reviews, this order had several different problems.
