This product went together easily. If you are minimally 'handy' and own a screwdriver you will not have any issue with putting this together. Everything lined up and the instructions were easy to understand. Once the product was together, it felt sturdy and was very functional. Good value for the price as it does not look like a typical "cheap" particle board piece. Highly recommend after LOTS of searching for the exactly right piece.
Did not know I would have to put it together. I still have yet get the drawers put in. This was not an easy assembly for me. Plus I have 2 screws that are too short. They attach the top to the body of the cabinet. This was not worth it me to buy. It looks nice but it would look nicer with the drawers in and the top secure. Thank you, Lorraine Herrera
I love this cabinet, and I would have given it 5 stars but I did not know the wheels are just for decoration. They are fixed in position which does not allow the cabinet to be moved by rolling it. The cabinet itself is very sturdy and is a lovely decorative piece.
Wheels to not swivel at base they at welded to frame. The wheel its self rotates but without the swivel they are just for looks.
its in so many pieces. the casters are just for show. they dont swivel. my son put this together and he said he would pay extra shipping if more of the pieces were already together. other then that i like the overall product.
Cabinet picture indicates casters on the base of the cabinet to make it a rolling file cabinet. Actual casters are welded in place and worthless. The rollers are for decorative purposes only and you will scratch wood floors immediately if you try to roll this cabinet. It's pretty, but I would have spent more for an actual cabinet with moving casters. I missed the comment about the wheels being fixed, so completely my fault, but disappointed none the less.
Took a long time to put together. The wood is fake and not real sturdy. Once it was all put together, the drawer catches so it doesn't open and close smoothly. The bottom drawer for the files is smaller than I thought it would be. It only holds about half of what a regular file cabinet would hold in one drawer. I do like the look of it though, so I am going to keep it but I probably should have spent more money to buy one made of real wood or a metal one that will last a long time. I am not confident that this one will last very long. Also, it has wheels which look nice, but they don't swivel, so you can't really roll this thing around very easily.
First the drawers are much shorter in depth than the cabinet. There is a huge gap between the back of the drawer and the inside back of the cabinet. You will see what I mean in the pictures. Second the cabinet does not roll. Wheels turn but they are fixed in the positions you see in the picture. Just decorative it seems. My husband built it and threw out the box. Had it been me…as soon as I saw the size of the drawers I would have boxed it back and returned it.
I do like the look of this cabinet. However I thought it was a file cabinet that looked deep enough for legal files. So I guess that was my error. The worst thing is that even though the wheels turn, they are fixed in the position that you see above so you can't really roll it anywhere. Each wheel heads a different direction. Then because the wheel itself rolls...you can't put a felt pad to protect the floor on it.
The extension blocks won't stay on beast cause the screws that are supposed to hold it in place aren't long enough. I had to get different screws to be able to actually screw it to the side boards of the filing cabinet. The screws that are supposed to hold the top board in place to the crossbar also aren't long enough. There is about a quarter inch gap between the top of the screw and the board itself. I'm not even finished putting it together yet and I'm sure I'm going to come across other issues before completing it.
