Let me make it very clear-the bulbs are not red! They are a warm white light that is quite bright. However, each bulb is wrapped in a red plastic wrap that is to be removed before use. Im assuming some reviewers didn't realize the red wrappers are supposed to be removed and that's why they thought the bulbs they got were red. But I can assure you, the bulbs are white. These lights have a heavy quality cord and the bulbs feel heavy like glass, although they are shatterproof. This set also comes with two extra bulbs, but because they are LED, we are hoping they will last for years!

These are the best value in string lights that we could find. We bought two sets off the shelf, and then liked them so much we bought 40 more sets to light up about 2,000 feet of walking area. The ability to link up to 20 sets together was a key factor for us.

I put two strands up on a screened in porch. I bought these to replace some I bought from Lowes, Harbor Bay brand I think, that did not have the bulbs installed out of the box like these were. After putting all the bulbs in and plugging in to check if they worked I hung them, then after attaching a second strnd they would not work. I took those back and found these. The quality was superior, the loop to hang them from was sturdier and designed to fit the nail head better so if the wind rocked them around it would not come off and they just seemd better quality in every way. They come with a red film on the bulb for shipping which you need to peel off. I thought I had gotten red instead of white as I ordered until a friend pointed out to me the film was supposed to be taken off. I've had them about a month and they look and work great, great value.

The Better Homes %26 Gardens Outdoor String Lights are a beautiful addition to any outdoor space. I choose to light up my chicken coop at night, bringing warm ambiance to the coop and light to my backyard. The electrical cord and light appliance is heavy duty, durable, and I love the way the lights bulbs connect to wire or cord to hang the lights. I would definitely buy these lights again and will in the near future for other areas of my yard and farm. I also connected these lights to a 'Monster Outdoor Cable' and I have complete voice control, or I can schedule times that I would like the lights to come on and go off. Before I purchased these lights, I compared the quality with other brands...I felt these string lights were the best of what I saw on the market in my area. when shopping for lights it's important to look for heavy wiring, easy but strong hangers and how many lights per string. These lights check all the boxes including a light every 24 inches. You might find something a couple of dollars cheaper but you will give up quality if you do.

This is a heavy duty, quality string light set! I was pleasantly surprised at how well-made it is. It is definitely built to last and withstand the outdoor elements. I was thinking about getting a cheap set of lights off of Amazon but then I realized- You get what you pay for! This was worth the price!

I did not like 1 of the 2 sets I ordered was used and returned from another customer and then sent to me. I know it was used because all the protective wrap that were suppose to be on the bulbs were just shoved in the bottom of the box and the strand of lights just shoved in the box on top of the protective bulb wrappings. When I order new I expect new. If I wanted used I'd go to a yard sale or second hand store. But for now the strand is working, took the chance.

product is only 2 prong and has 2 prong outlet. I have a previous set that is 3 prong and I cant join them on the 3 prong and 2 hole outlet. so I had to use a 3 outlet extention cord. same light as my current lights so that was nice that it all matched.

The product was faulty and had to be returned. There was a short in the wire that caused bulbs to go out upon first use. I changed out the unlit bulb and then IT worked, but simultaneously caused another bulb to go out that was previously working. No issues with the bulbs themselves, but the actual light string was clearly shorting out.
