Better Homes & Gardens Springwood 5 Shelf Bookcase with Solid Wood Frame, Light Honey Finish

My husband and I could not believe how nice this piece of furniture was for the money. We got it just as something to be used to display things temporarily while we looked for "something better". This was worth every penny. It's sturdy, it's heavy, it was easy to put together. In my opinion, a quality piece. All my other pieces of furniture are antiques, but I am actually going to keep this one.

This console is absolutely beautiful and super easy to put together. It took me about 40 minutes from opening the box to placing it in my house. It's super sturdy and heavy. Such good quality for the price. I highly recommend it. Now I just gotta decorate it!

This is a solid piece of furniture, beautiful color and very sturdy. We needed something to hold a lot of bottles and i was wary of bookcase since most shelves tend to bow over time. We've now had this since November and its holding strong. Highly recommend!

I am obsessed with this item. I wanted something for my plants so I did add lights and now the look is even more high end. I did not add one shelf since the plants on the bottom are pretty tall but I will once they outgrow the space. Even with one shelf missing it still looks good. It's sturdy, the quality is good and it was easy to assemble. I have no complaints.

This was just delivered today and I absolutely love it! It's beautiful, well made and sturdy. The assembly instructions are clear and consists of using an Allen wrench and Phillips screwdriver. I was able to assemble it by myself but I have to give a heads up about a couple of things. The package when it arrived is very heavy and long. I had to lay it flat and cut the top of the box off to access the parts. When it comes to adding the legs, If you're assembling it yourself, I recommend adding one side to the shelves first to stabilize it. It's well worth the effort put into assembling it and the price!

Exactly what I was looking for! This bookshelf fits nicely along the back of my couch. It holds a ton of books but isn't visually “heavy.” My only complaint is that 2 of the drilled holes didn't seem to be correct and I wasn't able to use them. This could probably be an easy fix for someone handy. Otherwise, I put it together alone and just needed help standing it up after it was assembled (it's very heavy).

Fabulous bookshelf. Very solid and sturdy, shelves are thick and smooth, no sharp corners or edges, very sleek modern design and true space saver! I would buy two if I had more room. The shelves are nice and deep and when it's against the wall, there's about an inch gap between shelf and wall for air. It's very lovely and makes my small room look spacious, tons of room for dolls, stuffed animals, collectibles, really great item. I love it.

It's “ok” I was really expecting something with a little more wood at this price point. Only the legs are actually wood, the rest is just particle board or something similar with a wood grain sticker on it. Probably worth it for half price if it goes on sale.

Either this item was poorly packed with sub-par protective wrapping/insets OR the FedEx handlers threw this box around or dropped it. This was such a beautiful shelf and due to either improper packing or handling, it arrived destroyed. The tall side pieces had so many cracks it would have been impossible to repair and work around. Such a beautiful item that will likely end up in a landfill. It was difficult to repackage and load into my vehicle. Drove 40 min to return it. All of this could have been avoided had the item been packed with more protective materials OR if the fedex drivers actually cared and didn't throw/slam things around. I understand it's a heavy item but now you have a very disappointed customer.. and I still don't have a shelf.

I was missing 6 of the moldings that hold the shelves up. I have reached out to the company (Sauder) for replacement moldings, and am waiting to hear back. The bookshelf looks OK, but does not look like real wood. The original Walmart listing I purchased this from said it had "real wood elements" and I don't know what that means, but this bookshelf is heavy particleboard, which is not quite what I expected. I got a pre-Christmas special price and I need a bookshelf, so I have not decided whether to keep it or not.
