Better Homes & Gardens Springwood Caning Desk, Light Honey Finish

This desk is large and sturdy. The package was 91 pounds! Assembly took roughly 45 minutes. The desk arrived in decent shape, though there was some very minor damage to some edges which were hidden once the desk was assembled. There are some hairline scratches on the tabletop which will come out with furniture polish. The biggest blemish was the front veneers on the drawers, which were chipped and showed gaps. Of all the spots to have a defect, it was right on the front! Nonetheless, I'm happy with the appearance and function. I bought this desk for my boho-styled room with light wood and the cane fronts work wonderfully.

I love this desk. Same as the picture. Just to protect the top I add a plastic cover transparent and is really a beautiful product. Color light brown, two drawers with a lot of space. Front design is very delicate . When not used as desk I removed the laptop and is a nice console. Love it!

This desk was THE reason I decided to choose BH%26G Springwood Collection when I decided to redo a small office in our home. The desk arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I just love the honey colored wood and the caning is simply on point! The desk is larger and heavier than I anticipated (my fault for not checking this out) but I am more than pleased with my choice. It is such a sturdy piece and the drawers are perfect to hold essentials. The only downside that I can think to mention is that it was very time consuming to assemble. Many nuts, bolts, screws!!! I am just overjoyed with the finished product and you will be as well! Looking forward to adding more pieces from the Springfield collection! Thanks Walmart!!

I'm having trouble contacting the seller. One drawer was cracked and I didn't noticed until I put together the entire desk. Also, the desk is super wobbly?? How can I work on this if it constantly moves?

It's was cheap so can't expect much, but the bottom of the desk isn't even pressboard. Every single piece came separately so huge pain to put together. It would have shipped just as well partially assembled. Also paint job doesn't match between desk and legs. Overall, no, not good.

I really love the look of this desk which is why I purchased. Assembly was quick and easy, however, one of the tracks came to me not screwed on one of the ends so I can't get the drawer in… needed to try and find screws that would fit as I was at the finish line and was not going to take back apart. I got that drawer in however it does not close all the way. I have tried taking the drawer apart, reassembling, and nothing. I guess I can live with it

Some of the pieces came looking worn… one of the metal brackets for the drawers was bent. Now the drawers looked messed up. Not worth $155. Disappointed but I'll use it until I find something better in person.

First of all, it took me 2 1/2 hours to assemble this desk. Unless you have a lot of experience with assembling furniture or infinite patience, this would be very difficult and frustrating. It arrived with the top of the desk already dented, and the underlying wood exposed. The wrong support beams were included for the bottom. There were two of the same kind instead of one of separate kinds. It looks so weird because that meant one had to be installed upside down. The drawers would not go in correctly, and I finally realized that one was skewed. I had to take the desk apart and put it back together twice during the assembly process because it was so complicated and the instructions were so difficult to follow. For $197, I at least expected that I would receive the correct and functional pieces. I will say that it's a nice color and a wonderful shape. It is too bad that they couldn't send me the actual pieces that were supposed to be included. I really wouldn't want to buy from the seller again. I requested a refund and Walmart said a return would be necessary for that, which I understand, but, after you've put together a heavy desk, you don't necessarily want to have to repackage it in a box, which is required for a home pick up return. In fact, if I tried to disassemble it, I would probably damage it more than it already was because the drawers cannot come out after you've put them in. It was all around a very, very frustrating experience, a complete waste of $200 (with tax), and I honestly wish I had not bought this. I would never buy from this seller again because at the minimum it should be easy and straightforward to process a return instead of requiring the disassembly of a complicated and heavy piece of furniture, which would further damage the furniture.

Don't waste your energy. Poor manufacturing and support! I didn't realize until I had assembled the whole desk that the final drawer I was putting together was a defect. One of the side pieces is 1/2 shorter than all of the others making it impossible to finish putting together properly. Also what I can assume is due to the improper length, its slide rail was also not installed at the correct position by the manufacturer. When trying to at least receive a partial refund or replacement drawer the Walmart only gives an option to return the item. I spent nearly an hour and half putting together before finding this product issue. I am not disassembling to return - that is ridiculous.

Desk came with wrong parts. Somehow the top was incorrect with holes going all the way through. Didn't match item pictures or the pictures on other reviews. Such a hassle.
