These are delicious cocktail cherries, and come at a surprisingly great price! bettergoods cherries taste as good or better than the high-end brand of cherries.
These are awesome! Like Luxardo but much lower price. Do NOT compare these to the artificially colored marachino cherries These are a luxury item that aren't in the same category as the ones that are $2/jar.
We use these for a cherry chocolate chip cookie recipe that my husband makes. These cherries make a huge difference in the quality and taste of the cookies.
Comparable to Luxardo Cherries but at one-third the price, they are awesome. Wonderful in mixed drinks or ice cream topping. Worth every penny. BE ADVISED: Once you taste these, you will never go back to conventional cheap maraschino cherries.
The main concern was the red dye in most cherries. These were more tart than sweet but still sweet and SO good! I missed them with yogurt, and wow!
Delicious for us as a garnish in cocktails. I added them to a gift basket and they were an instant hit.
We have friends over for cocktails at least once a month. We typically use our favorite Fabbri Amarena Cherries for cocktails, but I wanted to try the Bettergoods brand to see how they compare. First - let me just say - there is NO comparison. The Fabbri Amarena Cherries are still our most favorite, and we will continue to use them on a regular basis. But - the Bettergoods cherries aren't bad, they're just different. The Bettergoods brand of cherries are much more sweet and are in a much thicker syrup. They do work for cocktails, but we actually prefer the Fabbri Amarena Cherries for cocktails. I used the Bettergood cherries to make tarts, and they worked very well for this use - a much better use for them than for cocktails. I also made a cherry chocolate cake using these Bettergood cherries, and they worked very well for the cake. The blend of dark chocolate and these sweet cherries made for a fabulous taste. The cherries are very dark - which we like. But if you're looking for something more along the lines of a Maraschino cherry, you'll be surprised when you open this jar to see how dark the cherries are. Overall, we did like these cherries. We just liked them better baked into desserts than in cocktails.
Absolutely disgusting. I had to throw them away. Tastes like straight cough syrup! This is by far the worst item from the better goods brand
I keep finding broken and mushy cherries as I use the jar. Yuck! Definitely would NOT recommend buying for any desert!
I love most everything by this brand, but these are terrible. the syrup is almost like paste it is so thick. These are beyond sickingly sweet.
