BIC Multi-Purpose Lighters, Classic Collection, Pack of 2, Designs May Vary

I love BIC. Always use them... never have any issues. They just work. My only wish on these, though, is that they would have a flame adjustment. For some reason on these latest ones, they have one setting and it's too high for what I need it for. Would like to dial it down slightly (this would save on fuel and make them last longer too). For this, I have to take one star off.

Use these in an application where they get stored for a long time between uses. They work well when new but after a year or so the flame seems to get progressively smaller even though they seem to contain enough fuel. The igniter continues to work long after the fuel is gone or the lighter will no longer hold a flame.

This lighter if fine if you have strong hands and need a child protective trigger. But as someone with arthritic hands I would say if you have any hand weakness, this lighter is nearly impossible to use. It would be more useful if there were a way to make the trigger less difficult.

The lighter is great, but, I am old and it is very hard for me to ignite - the problem is with me, not the lighter, but, arthritic hands, beware. The flex, fuel and arc are fine, it is the holding and pushing the ignitor that is hard for me to work.

Not pleased with the quality whatsoever, cannot refill with butane, so that means it disposable and there's no way to adjust the flame ….. Definitely would not buy again and wouldn't have in the first place had this information been shared !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is quite difficult to use these lighter, have to use 2 hands. on the backsid e nhave to push down on a 4 in rectangular release stick, then pull the trigger. Threw away the packaging so eill not be sending back for a return. Reakky disappointing as Bic has always been a good brand.

They childproof and safety feature these lighters to the point where they are unusable for anyone who does not have hands the size of a basketball player. You have to continuously hold down one very stiff button with thumb while clicking with index finger underneath and keep the whole thing stable with palm. I have to use two hands to even get it lit, but it snaps off if the pressure on the safety button is released even a little. For a person with small hands, it is physically impossible to use. Even my husband (a normal sized fellow) can't manage it without extreme frustration %26 a hand cramp. We gave these to our neighbor who is a 6'5" sasquatch, lol.

There was no mention of child protection controls before buying this. And I had to go to YouTube just to figure how to ignite it! But that didn't help me because I cannot push one button while depressing another to get it to light. I'm ready to throw them both away because they're useless to me!

The less expensive long lighters don't last long enough and are difficult to light. I bought the more expensive Bic lighters thinking the quality would be better because they cost almost $4 each. I'm disappointed. The trigger is difficult to squeeze; I usually have to try multiple times before they light. I will buy the Dollar Tree lighters the next time I'm there. Not lighting now and then won't bother me when I pay only $1.50 each.

I usually buy Scripto lighters, but they were not available, so I bought the BIC instead. I cannot spark or light this thing, If you are a woman and have nails don't buy this. I do not have the hand strengh to light it. As usual, the BIC company must not have thought that women would actually use this lighter or not thought about at all. What a waste of money and now another trip to the store. UGH
