These are perfect for homeschooling and great for little hands that are still learning how much pressure to push with. The lead is soft enough to make easily, hard and thick enough that it doesn't break to easily.

I love to buy these BIC Xtra Strong Mechanical Pencils for my students. Many students come to school without a pencil, so I give these out to them. I typically pick up a pack whenever I am grocery shopping. I particularly like these because the lead is stronger. I teach special education and some of my students press down too hard on the paper. Other mechanical pencil leads break, but not these.

As a teacher our class goes through dozens of pencil sometimes in one day. These pencils has good quality, thick lead which does not break easily. This allows the students to write without interruption. The lead in the pencils last months and the students enjoy the various colors.

Everyone in my house loves these pencils. They easily click to get more led. The eraser works well! We have a family calendar that I was using pen to fill in our activities, and times or dates would change so frequently that the calendar would look so ugly with so many scratch outs. Now, that I am back to using pencils after at least a 25 year break HAHAh I may not ever use a pen again. The colors are cute too. I totally recommend these pencils.

These pencils are a great value for the price. They write smoothly, don't break easily, and the 0.9 mm lead is perfect for everyday use—especially for kids or anyone who tends to press a little harder when writing. The built-in erasers actually work well, which is a nice bonus.

Great fun pencils for kids! We homeschool and sometimes boring pencils with erasers don't motivate well. I pull one of these out for a fun change and the kids love it! They're so easy for them to use with the thicker lead and they don't break them. The colors are fun and exciting and they're easy to write with and click. Great click pencil for kiddos that need a little excitement in their school day!

My daughter and I both love these pencils. These are the first mechanical pencil lens. I haven't broken – so frustrating. I literally have used an entire one of these pencils and the lead has not broken not one single time! Eraser works well too! We are happy with these pencils and will order more. 100% recommend.

I have been teaching children for the past 30 years and these are hands my favorite pencils to use. The thicker lead means less breakage (almost none). Super easy to read, doesn't smudge, easy to erase, loaded with enough lead to last, same with the eraser. I just use a cap eraser for preference. Plus Walmart has the value pack at a super great price!

I use mechanical pencils on a regular basis, mostly for notes on projects. There are pencils that may be slightly better but the prices for them by far exceed any additional benefit. BIC is consistently good quality and simple to use. I am very happy with the price and appreciate the delivery service.

Works really well. Good for writing. You can use for them for drawing but it really depends on the kind of paper.
