This Big Red 3 Ton Hydraulic Trolley Service/Floor Jack with Extra Saddle, Fits SUVs and Trucks, Cars, ATVS, Riding Lawnmowers. Works great. Easy to maneuver. Easy to store. Has extention for taller vehicles. I think it's a great value for the money. I would recommend.
Having a floor jack at home is really handy for getting under a truck or SUV to do maintenance, repairs, or just swapping out a flat tire. This Big Red floor jack does the job so much better than any lifting kit included from the factory. I picked up a nail somehow and this floor jack made changing the tire a breeze. Just slide it under and lift it up. The 3-ton rating means it should lift most common SUVs, Vans, light pickups, and cars if it'll fit under them. Just close the valve, jack the vehicle up, place safety stands and you're on the way. The release valve is a bit quick for my liking but with enough safety it's no big deal. This particular floor jack is intended for slightly taller vehicles with greater ground clearance, which unfortunately makes it incapable of sliding under lower vehicles like standard cars. At its lowest, the saddle is just under 6 inches, but has an extension included to raise that up for taller trucks. Everything is made out of metal on this jack, and it feels safe while lifting the family car up. It is heavy enough to give me confidence it can hold a big vehicle. Overall the welds, paint, and everything else look good enough for at-home regular use as a shade-tree mechanic. I know the next time I have to change a tire, change the oil, or get under my vehicle, I'll be glad I have this jack!
It’s those little things that makes a difference. That little extension piece makes a world of difference. My old jack at full tilt barely lifted my suv. Threw that away now that I have this. Having a compact car and a suv, this big red is perfect. Low enough for the compact and (with the extension) high enough for the suv. Plus it’s rated for 6000lbs which my suv is. Last note, the extension stores on the side of the jack so won’t be easily lost.
This is a very strong jack for cars, SUV's and trucks. It can lift a maximum of 6000 pounds (3 tons). It is easy to use and is ready to use. One should be sure to take proper precautions when jacking up a vehicle and the excellent instruction manual explains this very clearly. Even though this jack is strong enough to hold most vehicles securely, it is always a good idea to use sturdy jack stands in addition to a jack if you are getting under a vehicle. I also want to commend the customer service department for their excellent service. I called and asked some questions about when to add jack fluid and they did not keep me on hold for a long time and were friendly and helpful.
This 3 ton car jack is actually perfect. Comes with an extension post to add to the lifting height of the jack. Pumping the jack is easy as expected and works great. No problems lifting my car to change my brakes. The wheels work fine and the back ones swivel for easy movement. This 3 ton jack can hang with the more expensive ones. 4 stars Definitely recommend for a personal car jack for home.
I'll start this review with a few things I didn't like: 1) Walmart's website states in the Product Details that this Big Red SUV Floor Jack (T83006) comes with a carrying handle for easily and quickly moving it around from place to place, but that's not true. Unfortunately, this Jack does not come with a carrying handle, which means you have to drag it through the grass, dirt, mud, or whatever if you have work to do outside your garage or patio. 2) The Owner's Manual does not list the exact Hydraulic Oil or Jack Oil to use. It does state to use only anti-foaming Hydraulic Fluid of the highest quality. Customer Service at Torin said it was okay to use 10/20W Motor Oil and/or lightweight Machinist Oil. I'll ignore CS at Torin and use anti-foaming HF. and 3) The Owner's Manual states to store the Owner's Manual in the Jack Handle, but there is no room to put the instructions in there. For the things I like about this floor jack: 1) It has a safety fluid bypass system that prevents me from overloading and harming the jack. 2) It's made with heavy-duty steel, which means it'll last my lifetime so long as I keep it greased and clean. 3) With the "long saddle neck" as it's called, it allows me to use this jack without the need for blocks. Should be noted, however, that with the saddle neck in place, its max lifting weight is 2.5 tons, down .5 tons from the max lifting weight of 3 tons without the neck. and 4) Like most floor jacks, it comes with two large steel casters and two steel spin casters that allow for fairly easy mobility. When out in the yard where my truck is black-tagged parked, I use a steel plate to put this jack on, otherwise, it would sink into the ground and possibly tip over. The same is true on asphalt as I quickly learned...the front steel casters started to sink into the asphalt. I quickly put an end to that and got out my steel plate. The pictures I've uploaded are of my vintage EZ-Go Golf Cart being lifted in back so as to test the motor. Later on, if possible, I'll upload pictures of this Big Red Floor Jack lifting a corner of my Davis Building so as to correct for the corner blocks sinking into the earth and causing the double doors to be mismatched and, thus, unable to lock. If a 3-ton jack is what you need, I suggest you consider this one by Torin. Just be aware their Customer Service isn't all that great.
I purchased this it came to my house in a box I threw it in the back of my trunk I had a flat today I opened the box to use it somebody was going to help me fix my flat put my spray on and it didn't have the handle to jack it up the handle is missing out of the box
I had to get a refund because they delayed my order then didn't want to deliver it
The jack did not work the box was not sealed and once you open the box you can tell someone already used it with scuff marks and the black plate on top would not snap on and the jack did not pump up. I tried to contact the seller and was told they would not refund! I contact Walmart and obtained a label to fed ex back to Torin Inc. I will pursue further as this is unfair behavior on the seller part to ship defective items purchased online and REFUSED to accept their defective item and give a refund. You took my money and now you think you don't have to refund it back. Buyer beware! Can't give a rating but should be 0.
Came broken TWICE. Both times the box was in rough condition when it arrived. First time it wouldn't pump up (and I did turn the activation knob). Second time one of the wheels and bearings was popped off and the nut to put it back on was not in the box.
