I gave my granddaughter this Candy Land milkshake maker and cake pop maker as gifts we could try together. The milkshake maker was simple to prep, just pop the freezer pack in the freezer the night before. just follow the directions , (add a little ice cream if you want thicker) . we added some whipped cream and sprinkles after it was finished and voila! a super fun treat!
Ordered for throw back Christmas presents for my sisters, product looks good but haven't tried yet...........
Easy to use milkshake maker! Just Froze the cup overnight and added our ingredients the next day!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad we were able to test this. I had been on the fence about purchasing one but I can say now they are a neat little item to have around especially if you have kids who love ice cream but are also very hands on and love doing things themselves. My daughter loves it and loves experimenting with different concoctions. It's easy to clean and put back together & love that spoon/straw is incorporated into it. The freezer pack does have to sit out just a minute to thaw a little before my daughter can turn it easily but it doesn't take long at all and she has yummy ice cream.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Candy Land Milkshake maker has been super fun for my daughter and her friends. They made milkshakes since we've had it. I've even made a milkshake myself just to test it out and was surprised at how easy it was to use. You do need to let the ice pack thaw a little before you can turn it. Otherwise it can be hard for the little ones. Overall, clean up is easy and the entire process is fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I got this, my daughter penned it and was trying it out. It seemed easy enough for her to use it did take awhile to actually get the product made. We give it a 3/5 just because of the time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. My first impression was that I liked the nice bright colors as this is intended for a child to use. I was able to wash all of the pieces in the dishwasher which was nice. Then came the 6 hour prep for the inside cup/ice pack to get frozen, so we waited until the next day. My daughter doesn't drink regular milk, so we tried almond milk. Unfortunately it didn't work at all. For the sake of science, I tried it again using regular milk (for myself). While it did work okay, I wouldn't call it a milkshake consistency. Bottom line is it took way too long and really didn't work great. I would go straight for a blender in the future, and then the whole family could enjoy versus just one person.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used this a few times now, and It is okay. It's not amazing, but it works pretty well. Clean-up is pretty easy. I don't think it's as durable as it needs to be, though, and that's sad, but it works pretty well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This can't be safe. I followed the directions, cleaned properly before freezing. Let it freeze overnight. Poured some kool aid in it, used the spinner to make the slushy. And when I sipped it had an off weird taste so I poured it out and found that the mix had punctured the ice packs. If I would not have tasted it first my child could have gotten sick from the liquid stuff in the ice packs. She wouldn't have known it didn't taste right! Also it's hard to turn the mixer on top. Who knows what the ice packs are made of. It's a good concept but needs lots of improvement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I really wanted to like this, but I am not impressed. It's comes with easy to follow instructions. It just, in my opinion, doesn't work and is extremely messy. At best it makes cold milk. We put chocolate milk, Hershey's chocolate syrup and crushed Oreos in the cup. Screwed on the lid. My son attempted to turn handle on top of the cup, he could not turn the handle, so I tried. I had issues turning the crank handle. The cup was damp and cold, so hard to hang onto with my other hand. So I got a towel to making gripping the cup easier, and cranked the handle. It was hard to do, but I did it. Then as instructed by directions, I was to shake for 30 seconds. I started shaking and the lid started leaking, making a sticky mess. I wrapped a towel over the top and continued to shake, then I cranked the handle for 90 seconds (handle was still hard to turn), after 90 seconds we removed lid and checked it out. It wasn't anyrhing like what I'd consider a milk shake. But my son did say it tasted good. We then went ahead and added one of the small individual cups of vanilla ice cream. It did thicken it a bit, and he said it tasted a little better. Cleaning the cup and cup parts was very easy to do, I hand washed them. Overall, I could have made all this easier by hand or in a blender, and it would have been better and wouldn't have made such a mess. I personally would not recommend this milkshake maker.
