BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Self-Test Kit with Reliable 15 Minute Results, 2 Tests

I purchased this for my family because it was affordable, convenient, and authorized by the FDA for emergency use. After my nephew was exposed to a major COVID outbreak at his school and he began experiencing symptoms (nasal congestion, vomiting, nausea, and lethargy), my mother performed one of the tests in the middle of the night. We watched an instructional video on YouTube (highly recommended), and she completed the test step-by-step. Upon sealing the test for the 15-minute wait, two purple lines began to appear almost instantly. After the instructed wait time, it showed a very clear positive result. Since this was our first experience with an at-home COVID test, we weren't sure how reliable it was, but we immediately isolated my nephew from others in the home and began disinfecting. The next day, his father took him to a local wellness center for a rapid test, and it was confirmed that he was, indeed, positive for COVID. While we are obviously saddened that my nephew contracted this awful virus, we are grateful for the BinaxNOW at-home COVID test. It provided an accurate result and allowed us to begin the isolation process much earlier than if we'd waited on his scheduled test at the wellness center. I think this is a useful tool, especially for those who need a rapid result but cannot afford the $55 rapid testing fee that many doctors' offices charge (outrageous, by the way). Please keep in mind, this result is not accepted for travel purposes.

Fast and easy. This test is much more convenient than having to go to the dr's ofc or urgent care for a test. It also gives you peace of mind that if you test negative, you are at home and not in a public place getting a test that could possibly expose you to the virus when you didn't have it in the first place. I also like the fact that you can swab yourself much more gently rather than if someone else does it. I had a PCR test done in the past and it was a lot more uncomfortable than when I swabbed myself. It took only a few minutes for the entire prep and actual test. Just place 6 drops of the liquid tube provided into the first hole on the test kit and then push the swab with your sample into the second hole so that you can see it through the first hole. Then turn the swab clockwise 3 times, close the kit, wait 15-30 minutes and then basically you are finished. However, I will mention that if it showed up positive, I would call my Dr. to request a PCR test to confirm the results. Also, even if it showed a negative result, but I continue to show worsening symptoms, it would also prompt me to make an appointment.

I had several different kinds of Covid tests that had been given out for free by the government. I had them for several years and this brand was the only one that I could use. All of the test kits had a liquid solution of some form that it used. This is the only one that did not dry out and was still usable.

I haven't used the kits yet but felt it was essential to have on hand, in order to determine if I have the flu or the current COVID-19 variant further testing to determine if I may be over it. The price was less than the price on the store shelf. Fast delivery.

It was packaged nicely. Unfortunately, the seal on the box appears to have been tampered with, had some strange looking stuff on the outer seal. Everything inside the box was still sealed. Nothing was missing. It was easy to use with clear directions. It was accurate, since we also went to the doctor for medication and had to get tested again. Except for the outside appearance of tampering, I was happy with the item and would buy them again.

Due to Covid and working in the healthcare field, this is a great staple to have in your house however, I do wish it was much cheaper. It was delivered in a prompt manner and helps with early diagnosis.

Unnecessary evil for today's test since Covid unfortunately, we have to get them. I only recommend it so someone doesn't shove something up your nose to do it for you..

the package it was on was damaged and manufacturers' seal was compromised. I examined the testing contents and it seemed intact, so I kept it, but still somewhat concerned about sterility. if it had been intact I would give it a higher rating.

Not as convenient as other brands. Poor design and even poor instructions. Additionally, one of the vials of solution was empty - one less test than advertised/paid for.

I'm so angry ! I tried to cancel this right away as soon as I realized it was going to the wrong address ! Then I had to reorder a Covid test because I'm home SICK ! Now I find out my niece in Michigan can't return the tests for me. I'm so angry with the company that sent this test. I will never order from them again!!!!! It should have been cancelled , 3 seconds after I ordered I cancelled. They get 1 star because I can't give 0 stars. Terrible company.
