I tried it on my dog before setting it out and it worked fine. My dog went the other way! I like the opinion you can use the AC adapter or batteries. The Bird- X yard Gard pick up from all three sides. I bought 2 and they are doing the job. Best ultrasonic animal repeller I ever bought!

The Bird-X Yard Gard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller works great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. After finally getting it on the right setting, I don't have to worry about the neighborhood cats getting in my flower beds. They do come by, but they seem to be in a hurry, and don't stop. I am very pleased with the product.

I've been using Yard Gards for years to keep animals away. First ordered one after citrus rats got under house and chewed up wiring. No more rats! And recently I had a problem with stray animals defecating on my artificial grass. No more! I keep one in the front and one in the back. Well worth the money.

We had a problem with raccoons tearing down our feeders. We put this out a week ago and haven't seen one since!

I placed two units in my attic. Within ten min, all squirrels has vacated the premises. Missing accomplished!

I use these animal repellers every spring to keep the armadillos from digging in my yard. I have 6 of them spread out around my lawn. And if I see any signs of digging I move the repellers around to target that area until they leave it alone. Between these and the grub killer that I put out to kill the grubs that they eat, I'm almost completely pest free. But I couldn't give it 5 stars since they have no effect on moles and occasionally a stubborn armadillo will still dig within the area of the repeller.

Over two months use, it did not deter racoons or opossums coming into my yard, even when they were directly in range. Frequency was selected within Yard Guard's specified range for targeted animal. Raccoons and opossums continue to tear up my yard.

This product had no effect on any animals including rabbits, squirrels, skunks, dogs or cats but it did give my wife headaches. I am not trying to be funny, she is the only one that the frequency had any effect on. I varied the frequencies and the lower ones did not bother her, didn't bother the animals either, therefore I would not recommend it.

I bought this hoping it would keep the rabbits out of our yard. It did not bother them at all. In fact they would sit close to it. I returned to store.

I purchased this to keep the grackles out of my small front yard, about 50' by 75'. It worked for a couple of days, but they are back and they walk right up to it. I'm returning it. Sadly.
