Black Flag 1/2-Acre 2000V Bug Zapper

I purchased this to replace an older version the light starter went out in . the old one still worked but the bulb would not turn on due to the starter even after replacing the bulb so I got this one . I kept the replacement bulb I got in case this one goes out but I don't think it will happen like the last as this one has that dusk till dawn sensor built it that will turn it off when the sun comes up so that's one of the selling points that made me get this one . it works great and I'll be getting 2 or 3 more of different brands to test out to see which one last the longest. due to the price and features of this one it's at a 5 stars for now

It does a good job killing bugs that attracts mosquitoes, gnats, etc. and it does a good job very easy to use as an option to continuous use or in the dark dark eyes only

This was safe and easy to hang. It immediately drew nighttime bugs straight into the light like CarolAnne in Poltergeist! It was able to take down everything from little mosquitoes to huge locust type insects! Perfect for either a big or small porches! It is compact with a big electric punch!

The package I received didn't include the mosquito attractant as shown in the description and the box was labeled different without the attractant included.

It gets the bugs better than most but not as great as some of the other competitors. Ive definitely bought quite a few different zappers each claiming to zap. And some of them truly do suck. This will zap quite a few for sure What makes them fall short in which I would not recommend is the fact that whoever made this thing did not think the plug and set up through at all. For these things to work properly and zap they have to be up high or in a good position to do their zap thing. The chord on this thing cant be more than 2 feet long!! So in order for it to work efficiently it needs a long extension chord and the poor quality size dimensions of the hook to hang it makes it a challenging setup. Once you get past all that, it does its job. But hard to make that aesthetically appeasing with a long extension chord trying to plug the thing outside is aggravating.

The light itself seems to work, but it's advertised as coming with one lure. I ordered one for delivery, it was in a different box than the picture, and didn't have one so I thought maybe they sent the wrong one. Started a return and ordered another. Just received it and it's the same thing, so they've updated the packaging and removed the attractant.

I had the old black flag bug zapper that was in the $20 range. It died after several YEARS. I didn't realize the bulb was replaceable and threw it away. I bought this new model in the $30 range and it did NOT come with the lure as the old one did and it has not killed a single bug in the 24 hours I've had it. Not one. The old black flag zapper was constantly going off and so loud that it scared even my dogs. Never thought I'd miss that sound but here we are! Will be returning.

We bought two, the bug attachment that attracts the insects wasn't inside both boxes. Suspiciously, the boxes looked like they were previously opened. Your website shows the attachment on it plus the description said it was excluded. So where is my two insect attraction attachment?

Didnt work out of the box. smelled like burnt electronics but thought it might have been a nasty new plastic smell. plugged it in and it never turned on. only return option was a refund. would not recommend.

Second one I bought in 3 months, the bulbs burned out in both prematurely, the last year's model lasted about a year, the new model is a WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! being disabled makes returning these pieces of junk even worse, I order everything online on the Walmart site, having Black Flag bug zappers is not helping their business when it comes to the quality of the merchandise they sell, everything else is usually good quality, these zappers are worthless, STAY AWAY FROM BLACK FLAG BUG ZAPPERS..
