I live on a horse farm. I was not certain this would work. Within 24 hours, the flies were very scarce. However, it doesn't do as good with horseflies as it does with house flies. But it's still getting them. I am totally shocked at how wild this works because I've tried products like this in the past and I was not satisfied with them. But I am with this one. You do have to shake it out every other day to get all the dead bugs out if you want to continue to work as well as it does at the beginning.

it worked great. bought it the last spring and just took it down this morning for the winter. the first night i swear i thought it was making it worse but after only a couple nights it felt like there were almost no bugsand it lasted for the rest of spring and summer.

This works Well, and best part is that the Bulb is replaceable @ $14 pull out old one from bottom door and push in a new one, also cleans easy with Air compressor or justva brush. CON: Cord is short (10"), so an extension cord is required.

You are not %100 guaranteed, even if you are sitting 20' or 15' feet from the zapper, you can still get harassed or bitten by the bugs!

Turn it and the mosquitoes start to buzz off! But the plug-in cord is really really short. Didn't expect it to be very long, but it's shorter than I thought. Buy an extension cord before you set it up

The smaller gaps of this bug zapper mean you have to clean it by hand, they do not burn free and drop. The deep purple light is like a black light, but it does seem to work. The sample Octenol mosquito lure helped extra for about a week also.

The connection cord is short, so make sure you have an extension cord if you want to place it high. It doesn't OK job but I haven't really noticed the bugs going away or even lessening since having it. I might purchase it again if I needed it for a smaller space.

Not very impressed don't like the blue light it hasn't attracted any thing and yes I put the attractent on the body of the zapper. My last zapper lasted for five years the only problem was the bulb burnt out and I have been trying to find a new one. The prongs are different. I wish this one had worked.

Item arrived by shipping a few days ago. Since setting it up the light is very dim- i have not experienced a bug zapper without a bright light. Is it supposed to be this dim? I have a 15watt Black Flag with blue light set up in the back yard. It's light is much brighter and i frequently hear it zapping taking care of business. I haven't heard this larger unit zapping at all. One hanging prong on the octenal cartridge is also broken off- so it doesn't hang securely onto the zapper. I don't think it was a good choice for my needs in the larger area so will be returning this one to find another 1.5 acre coverage zapper unit.

I gave it 2 stars cause box was open and it was missing mosquito repellent that was supposed to be on it , other than that it's a nice bug zapper and I love the day and night mode it goes off in the day time on its own
