I wanted to lift a concrete slab. I didn't have much room to work around the slabso this was perfect jack for it . Very happy with it. Thanks
Great jack for my 1/2 ton, on the road. Comes in a plastic case, easy to store. Great stroke distance. I also bought an adaptor to fit under the axle.
I was really surprised how compact this was yet still able to work on our SUV! The directions could be better but I just watched a YouTube video and 2 minutes later I used it like a pro. I'm a 5”2 112lb girl, this was easy for me to use :)
Works really well for a trailer jack
It's heavier that I thought it would be but not like heavy heavy. Don't let that dissuade you, just an observation. I'm probably just not used to handling solid metal things. It's just going to be put into my trunk for emergency tire changes. It seems to work fine and is simple enough to use. I tried it on my car just to make sure it works and also to make sure I know how it works before I actually need it. I like how small it is. Very compact so doesn't take up too much room.
This jack is a perfect safety equipment for any car ! It is very compact , easy to store and when you need it it's readily available! Very easy And quick to use , the instructions are easy to follow and anyone can use it safely and easily. I feel much better now , knowing I have this perfect easy to use jack in my car for any emergencies. Thank you for a great product that makes it easy to change a tire and keep myself safe
Works great – Nice slow and safe release valve. The height of the jack is 8 ½ inches tall when in the closed position. This is important since you will need 8 ½ inches of ground clearance to use the jack. The jack raises up slowly, we only had to use the one of the 8 inch metal tube handles to operate the jack. Nice soft and slow release. When you turn the release valve to lower the jack it starts to come down slowly; very nice, and safe. We have one hydraulic jack that comes down all at once when you turn the release valve, which is not desirable or safe. Shown here under our SUV lifting a tire off the ground.
I needed a heavy duty jack for my new Mercedes SUV. I used a Black Jack for my 2004 Jeep for over 10 years and never had a problem. So I decided to get the 6 ton Black Jack for my 5,000 pound new car. It works beautifully! The 6 ton version is a stand alone bottle jack that has a wide and stable base. The top or saddle is also wide and notched so it provides an excellent grip even on round axle housings. The jack is rated for 12,000 pounds. In just a few pumps it lifted my 5,000 pound vehicle enough so I could rotate the tires, one by one. The threaded extension is solid and allows me to use the jack under high clearance vehicles like my Jeep. I no longer need to rest a jack on a 4x4. The handle is stiff, easy to grip and constructed of two pieces of tubular steel; they come apart for easy storage. One end of the handle can be used to loosen the jack release screw and gently lower the vehicle. I put the jack and handles in a small kid's nylon backpack and keep it in the Mercedes. The Black Jack is much better made and easier to use than the Mercedes factory supplied jack. I will get another one for my Jeep. I expect this jack to last at least a decade based on my previous experience with Black Jack products.
The Black Jack 6 ton bottle jack is the first of its kind we ever used. It is easy to use and did a great job jacking up our SUV and held it up without falling down. It is heavy and seems very durable. It would be nice if the jack crank bars were a bit longer, but they did the job. The only complaint we have is that when we let the car down, the jack didn't go down all the way and we had a bit of a struggle getting it out from under the car. Not sure if this is operator error, or if this is how these types of jacks work. For this reason only, I took off one star. It is recommended to not use the Black Jack alone. Be prepared to buy a couple of jack stands if you don't own any, if you are going to change a tire or work on your automobile.
My husband knows his way around tools, but could not get this to work. Tried to troubleshoot and online specs were not helpful. Unfortunately had to return.
