BLACK+DECKER GH900 6.5 Amp 14 Inch Electric String Trimmer/Edger

Hadn't done the edging in 2 years. Got it done in 3 days. (I have a lot of sidewalk!) Went through 1 spool. I suggest buying the 2 pack of extra spools when buying the edger. Easy to snap in replacement spool. Actually this is the first edger that I have been able to successfully change the spool. I have a heavier metal blade edger which is great but it's too heavy and awkward for me. This one is light weight and the little guide wheel is a wonderful idea. You don't have to hold the weight of the edger, the wheel holds the weight and you just guide. Like power steering! Wear goggles. This powerful edger can whip things up very quickly! It actually made edging fun.

This trimmer has power. I do not miss gas trimmers at all. This trimmer gets the job done easily. It is easy to store, the trimmers are easy to replace and the Height adjustment and edging adjustment just makes this a way better choice compared to clunky has trimmers. I recommend this.

This Black and Decker electric trimmer and edger is terrific! I am a senior citizen and I live in a rural area with lots of grass, weeds and burdocks. This trimmer is very light weight and easy to use...I plug it into a 100 ft. cord, hold the button and it easily trims around my house, garage and lawn! The trimmer stops working the second you release the button so it's safe as well. I have had no problems so far with the line feeding, but I've only had it a week, so time will tell. So far I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it!

I’ve bought other battery-powered trimmers before, and while they worked well, it was only for a limited time. I like this one because, even though I have to use an extension cord, once it’s secured properly, it stays in place. And the best part is that I can use the trimmer all day without worrying about running out of gas or recharging batteries. It does an excellent job!

I have purchased several of these and found the newest has a wheel added that does not allow me to get as close to fencing as I used to. I plan on removing the wheel. The wheel is to be used on sidewalks when you turn the unit for edging. Good idea but interfers with weed wacking.

My son used it first, he's 5"11" -- he said it's way too short for him and made him have to lean over to use it. I picked it up, I'm 5'5"-5'6" and it seems too short for me as well. If you are 5' 3" and under, it's probably the perfect size for you. Other than that it seemed to work well -- it did self-feed, as it says. It did run out of "thread" the first time using it, but things were quite overgrown so that's not a good example of how it will be in the future. I also found 3 spools (40 ft. each spool) for under $10.00 on Amazon.

My dad used it since I recently had surgery on my back. He adviced that it's light enough that it shouldn't cause any issues if I have to use it while still recovering and that it gave him no issues or concerns. I've rated this item as good based off of his statements and I haven't had to use it yet.

I bought this for the bigger motor and I wasn't disappointed, it has almost the same power as my 31cc gas model. I was well pleased with its performance in heavy use. The auto feed line is a welcome RELIEF as you don't have to bump the head to get more line. The only suggestion I would have is to make the head a 2 line cutter instead of 1 line but as it is I am well pleased.

Product did not work from the day it was delivered. Walmart denied responsibility for replacement or refund, directing me to "seller" who is unreachable with several attempts via messages and phone call (484-997-7115). The product lays in my car since then waiting for call back from Walmart or seller This is a fraudulent deal.

I did not receive the item I ordered and paid for. I purchased the Black and Decker GH900 and I received the Black and Decker BESTA510 instead. My satisfaction with the purchase can hardly be judged, in glowing terms, considering I did not receive what I paid for.
