BLACK+DECKER Helix Performance Premium 5-Speed Hand Mixer, Black, MX600B

This mixer is fantastic. I love that the attachments sit in the base so they are always within reach. The mixer is powerful, doing just about anything I need it to do. When I'm done with it I wipe it down and store everything in the base and it is ready for the next use. One caution - the base does not snap onto the mixer, even though it feels and sounds like it does. Be sure to pick it up by the base or you'll lose all the attachments.

Getting the stirrers in was a little awkward at first not knowing you had to line them up just so, but after I figured that out it worked fine. The turbo works great!

I had a 7 speed KAid which all of a sudden quit. This Black and Decker was probably half the price of that, which money saved is good especially when not sacrificing quality! That being said, this Black and Decker is 5 speeds and much more powerful than my previous and these powerful 5 speeds don't take in to account the turbo boost, which I have not had to use as of yet. I am very very pleased with this purchase. I got the red. Wish they offered a true blue color too.

Wonderful little handheld mixer. I love that the beaters have a nylon covering on them. 1. they are a lot less noisy 2. they are super easy to clean. And if 5 speeds aren't enough for you - it has Turbo! And likely one of my favorite things is the snap on case that keeps both Helix beaters, both dough hooks, and the whisk conveniently in one place and the power cord fits inside as well. I wasn't disappointed with this purchase at all.

This is the third Black Decker hand mixer I’ve owned over two decades. I have always loved their power and durability. I do NOT like the new style of beaters on this newer version. I use a hand mixer 3-5 times a week. The shape of these splatter batter everywhere. I would love this one as well if I could get the old style beaters again. The beaters from my old mixer would not fit. I tried! I would gladly give a better review if you would let me order some old style beaters to use on this small appliance. The helix beaters make a terrible mess.

I bought this mixer a month or so ago. Immediately discovered that those cool looking beaters are absolute garbage. They pull the batter up the spindle. You have to shut the mixer off, use a spatula to push it back down and try again .. over and over. The hand rest does not work. Well, it works fine if the beaters are not installed but if they are, all it does is fall forward. The cord is still so stiff, it just isn't softening up so it gets in the way of the mixing process. The turbo only goes as fast as the top speed - I mean what's the purpose? If you want it top speed, set it to top speed. All in all this was a bad purchase on my part. Do not waste your money on it.

I thought I would like this but I really do not despite the fact that it packs nicely into its own little package for storage. The plastic beaters fling the contents of the bowl out and make a big mess no matter how deep the bowl or what you are mixing. Whipping cream everywhere! What a waste. I wish I had not donated my older mixer. I will be donating this one and looking for a more conventional type beater. Never even tried the dough hook or whisk beater.

The beaters turn the batters up on to the mixer can not keep in the bowl. I have contacted maker for fix. Not sure what they are going to do. The dough hooks are great and whisk.

Hard to read words for eject button, which is badly placed. Those with arthritis will have a hard time using it. Speed button is very flimsy when changing speeds. The whip tool is small and thin. Original price around $59, discount price $29. Should be original price $10, sale price $5.

This was by far the worst mixer I have ever owned. The helix beaters do nothing to enhance performance. I used them a few times to mix cookie dough. Each time the dough would get clogged in the middle of each beater to the point where I had to stop mixing and scrape the dough out of the beater. I had to do this repeatedly during the mixing process. I ended up throwing the mixer out after only a handful of uses. Buyer beware, do not waste your money!!!
