Blackstone Signature 12" Round Basting Cover for Steaming and Melting

I have tried this Blackstone 12 inch round basting cover a few times now, and it appears to be made of high quality materials. The value is good. It is awesome. This stainless steel dome is built for melting cheese or steaming vegetables. It supposedly features a completely heat-resistant handle, which saves you from burning your fingerprints off when moving it on and off the hot griddle. The sturdiness of the thick metal gives it great durability for outdoor use, and it comes with a 1-year limited warranty. The 12 inch size easily covers a couple of burgers at a time. It works great, so you do not have to stand there staring at a slice of cheese waiting for it to melt while your meat turns into a hockey puck. If you ever have issues with it, you can call their customer service line at extension 1. Pro tip: Squirt a little water right next to the food just before throwing the dome over it. The trapped steam melts the cheese in seconds flat 🌬️🧼

This has been very useful to keep food warm. I use it more indoors than I have outdoors. Very good quality easy to clean.also used as lid for steaming.

What a great basting cover. This cover by Blackstone is made of durable stainless steel. 12" round dome makes it perfect for our family of four. This Basting Cover is under griddle accessories, however I used on a gas grill and in the kitchen. On the grill I used to melt cheese on the hamburgers. Worked quickly and perfectly! In the kitchen I have used on skillet to steam up some veggies. Fit ontop my 12" pan without letting any air/steam escape leaving perfectly steamed tasty veggies. Using both ways the dome cover worked great. The Heat resistant handle worked perfectly. I like that the handle has an area of heat resistant material around the bottom of it. When you grab your fingers won't hit the hot dome. Added bonus, I used the cover to keep food warm on the platter. This cover is dishwasher safe!! Fits perfectly in my dishwasher for an easy clean up. Would recommend for small cooking gatherings.

My husband loved the lid for the Blackstone grill. He kept raving about it I had to try for myself. I have been using when cooking in the house. Great cover for a frying pan or pot to control splatter, steam, and even odor(broccoli). I have also used to cover a plate of food, to let meat rest or to keep baked potatoes hot (put a fork handle under edge of lid so it isn't tight shut), and in a pinch I turned upside down to hold rolls.

Given as a gift… he loved it, I just thought it was “okay”. To be a name-brand, I expected it to be a little thicker and less “tinny”. It did the job. I also purchased an off-brand square one. I would recommend that one over this. Save some money.

Had I ordered it from Amazon it would've come in a box and delivered to my front door. This item was brought to my car dirty and not even in a bag and I had to drive to pick it up.

Cheap. Very thin. The knob on the top keeps coming loose. You have to constantly tighten it with a screwdriver. Don't waste your money.

I'm sure it would have been great if it didn't arrive damaged. Ordered it as a gift and now I'm left with no item in time for the event, and I have to deal with the returns process. The box had 0 insulation to cushion any roughing in shipping transit.

The Blackstone basting cover is great it is the fact that I got it and there was grease and food splattered inside where it has been used. Even the outside had food grease on it.
