This stuff is amazing. I have personally stopped stubborn rear main oil leaks in two vehicles with this product. I have recommended it to numerous family and friends. If your rear main seal is leaking, don't settle for cheaper products. This will take care of your problem.
My car was loosing a lot of oil ..I mean it was really pouring out. My Brother is a mechanic and he said my engine or transmission would have to removed to fix the oil leak or I could try the BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer .I purchased the sealer on Walmart.com .It was really easy to use , I did it myself . I poured the Blue DEVIL in my Engine and it worked immediately in less then two days it sealed and my car had stopped Leaking oil. It saved me a lot of time and money .
THIS ….. all I can say is, BLUE DEVIL IS THE BEST!!! This stuff here, works and very well!! I wouldn't hesitate to purchase anything Blue Devil put on the shelf!!
2 treatments completely sealed my 200k mile chevy truck transmission rear main seal. Note I am using conventional oil so not sure how this would work with synthetics. I used other brands which did not work but Blue Devil did the trick!
My car was leaking oil from the rear main seal after they worked on the transmission unfortunately it was outside of the warranty time so they tried to charge me an arm and a leg just to replace some $25 seal. They wanted something like $3000 to the other shop close to 2000 for the work.. I found this blue devil rear main steel fixer and honestly, I didn't expect it to work. I was already buying a bicycle or a scooter to get to work or figuring out what to do for bills and for when the car failed.. The car was leaking half of core of oil every day… now it's not even leaking at all. Not only do I continue to drive my car, but this leak is basically fixed… yeah it might be a Band-Aid and a for now, but it worked. There is a possibility it will keep working, but regardless, I'm happy it got me to the next week and got the bills paid for that month.. I'm going to use one of these with every oil change just to ensure the leak is treated
used in my roommates 2005 silverado that was leaking a ton of oil. the truck has over 300k miles so wasn't expecting it to fix the oil leak completely. The whole underside of the motor was covered, but looked like the oilpan gasket and rear main was where it was leaking the worst. added a second bottle about a month after the first and have noticed a considerable improvement. still leaking, but helped a lot more than I expected.
I have a Jeep 4.7 they are known for the defective valve guides seals and they always your vehicles always smoke so I read someplace that it can soften gaskets o rings and seals I used it for this purpose and I stopped seeing any smoke in my vehicle so I am satisfied I will continue to use it if I need to if I see any more smoke I will apply it again after my oil change thank you
I put it in every time I change my oil. It has stopped my rear main seal leak as advertised.
My truck oil pan was leaking and this product was recommended to me by a mechanic. I added the fluid to my oil and drove it for a few days. I did see about a 50 percent reduction in leaking but not completely fixed. I also got a check engine light with a code saying that the oil sensor needed replacement. After another oil change, the code cleared.
I had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately, it didn't completely stop the rear main seal leak in my truck. However, it did make a noticeable difference — the leak slowed down quite a bit, which helps buy me some time until I can afford to get it repaired properly. The instructions were easy to follow, and the bottle size was perfect for one treatment. It didn't cause any new issues or strange noises, so that's a plus. For the price, it's worth trying if you're looking for a temporary solution or to slow things down a little before a mechanic visit. Overall, it's not a miracle fix, but it did help reduce the leak and keep things manageable in the short term.
