Bob Ross Brush Beater Rack

a good -sized bucket for doing small to medium oil paintings, and the screen helps clean the brushes.

Lost the previous one I had during my hiatus from my hobby. It keeps me from making a mess while painting. Happy wife.

Great brush cleaner Doesn't damage the brush

I have purchased two complete sets of thinner, screen and beater rack. It's cheaper to buy the whole set than just the two quarts of thinner. I haven't used the screen or beater racks because I built heavy duty ones ( I weld). I placed my rack in the bottom of a deep waste basket with a swinging lid and perform the beating function at the bottom of the basket. It works great to contain all the debris and thinner. I earlier purchased some so called odorless thinner from the hardware store which smelled awful so I would avoid going that route. I will continue to use the Bob Ross system and " just beat the devil out of it".

I was a minimalist when I first started oil painting and doing Bob Ross landscapes. One day, I tried this beater rack after my ability to beat the devil out of my brushes on the side of my brush cleaning jar became so scary that it would shatter apart. Anyways, this beater rack is exceptional to get the excess paint and thinner left in the brushes out after first cleaning them in thinner. It also makes final cleaning with Masters soap way way easier. I use the rack in a garbage can (as Bob did) with a couple trash bags and tie one shut to avoid the smell and excess paint thinner evaporating into my home's air too prevelantly.

Whether you're oil or acrylic painting, don't skimp around by using items you throw together to clean brushes. The brush cleaning screen along with brush beater and bucket are ideal for cleaning paint brushes. These items do the job they were designed for. Just get them, and save time and money. P.S. Don't forget orderless thinner.

This beats my homemade screen that was wearing out my brushes. This is much smoother and fits my bucket. 4 stars only because of where it's made.

I bought this one and another that has holes instead of screen. I believe the holes instead of screen are easier on my brushes.
