Bog did it again. This tripod is light and could carry it for miles without any trouble. The DeathGrip is as strong as any of the other Bog products. It's ranges is somewhat limited compared to other tripods, but has enough for most shooting houses and ground blinds.

BOG Deathgrip gets it done just as its name says. Holds your gun steady. Easy adjustable legs that keep the whole platform level. Great product! Great price!

Holds weapon up on it's own, bought it to help my son make accurate bow crossbow shots, as it is an older heavier bow. Kinda takes up alot of space when fully expanded, you just have to plan it out if you are going to be in a blind. Death grip is accurate, hold up my Barnett Jackal bow perfectly and allows for perfectly steadied shots for kids/wife

The bog death grip tripod is nicer than I imagined. Very steady with gun sitting on top. Tightens up to hold gun secure.

The clamping head is rock solid and well engineered. Holds on tight to my heavy barrel Premier HMR Pro rifle, with smooth tilt up and down and panning left to right. However, the clamping head to tripod connection is a little on the flimsy side; even my lightweight barreled Ruger M77 rifle wobbles on the tripod with the lightest touch. Perhaps this won't be a problem while hunting with the rifle properly socked into the shoulder from a sitting or kneeling position, but only field testing will tell. The head doesn't tilt left to right; it requires adjusting the tripod legs to level the rifle cant. This could be a problem when setting up for a quick hunting shot, especially for long distances. I know BOG has a three axis model for a significantly higher price, but I think that for almost a hundred dollars, this model really should have a three axis head too. The head alone would get 5 stars, but the head to tripod connection doesn't. No reduction for lack of left and right tilt; I knew that limitation before I bought it. Overall I think it is the best available value that I'm aware of, but could be better value with a less flimsy connection and a three axis head.

When comparing this to the death grip tripod, it's like picking up a slice of bread after you've been packing around a concrete block. I love the lightness of it and it will be so much easier to pack around. The ONLY thing I dislike is the max height. It's made for sitting. It has plenty of adjustment for even the talking man while in the seated position but you can't use it while standing. Saying that, I think this would be a great stalking tripod for a young boy or girl in the 5' or under size. I LOVE this for my hunting seat and my tree seats.

Budget friendly tripod, has the great bog clamp that will not disappoint. The legs on this tripod are a slight let down but will do. I purchased mine for shotgun season with my 350 and late muzzleloader with my optima. Problem 1- can't stand up to shoot with it as the legs aren't long enough. (No big deal, just have to free hand if I walk in on something) Problem 2- the spread on the legs take up a big footprint. So keep in mind where you're sitting or how big your blind is otherwise you'll have issues. Other more expensive models have locking points for each leg and this one has one fixed location which is a very wide footprint. Otherwise this is going to be no slouch and it's affordable. It'll do the job!

It will work fine for what I do with it. Adjustability isn't all that easy but it can be done. It does take up quite a foot print when legs are extended outward and all the way down.

Built well, however this particular one will have to be used from sitting position. Didn't see a height chart in the description, it only comes up about waist height
