I'd never had Bona equipment before, but recently read that other products aren't environmentally friendly or clean as well. This mop thoroughly cleaned the floor. The "squirt feature" was really handy and kept me moving. The mop was easy to remove and toss in the washer. I'm very pleased!
I bought this a month ago when my cheaper copycat mop broke into pieces where the mop attaches. You get what you pay for. So happy with this Bona mop. I love it. Cleans easily. Extra large mopping surface compared to the copycats. Much sturdier base connection instead of flimsy plastic.
So far working great. We purchased this new model because our previous one would have trigger problems. It was replaced and still had trigger problems. We are hoping the new model will not have the same trigger problems.
I bought Bona hardwood floor cleaner as I have been cleaning hardwood floors for years on my hands and knees with a vinegar solution. It's an intentional household of 9 adult women. Weekly cleaning of kitchen floor with the Bona spray mop for 2+ months led to filmy floor. Also, the spray mop does NOT remove much of any food stuck to floor, and you really have to bear down on the mop to get the pan drips off the floor. Back to vinegar and knee pads. I will only use it for my once a year great room floor cleaning and the main hallway.
I live the boba products. The only issue that I have had is the plastic parts. The plastic clip which holds the floor attachment on broke off within 2 days making it impossible to keep the pad attachment on the handle. This is disappointing and now I need to search for a replacement which will create an additional cost. The polish is great though and I would explore other possible mood which could use the floor product and bee more stable.
I clean homes and I have everyone buy a bona mop for their floors BUT Almost every squirter stops working even mine at home it's very annoying especially because I have people buy them and they stop working!
Let me start by saying I love the way this mop sprays, the length of the handle and the easy squeeze trigger, the refillable canister, the premium pad…BUT I have been through two of these mops in less than a year!! The place where the mop head connects to the body breaks WAY too easily. I replaced the first one because I thought it was a fluke, but now I believe it's a design flaw. Even though I have quite a bit of solution left and pads, I cannot bring myself to buy ANOTHER new mop! Please fix this design flaw, because I love every other thing about it.
I really want to like this mop, but I just don't! First time having all hardwood floors in my home. I do like the longer pad as it covers more floor space which means faster mop time. And the sprayer is quite nice! But the square handle is super uncomfortable. It cuts into my thumb making mopping even more unpleasant than it already is. The part where the head connects to the handle makes a loud click with every back and forth movement. And it's fallen off several times while using it. And the solution doesn't seem to do the job either. Haven't tried to change out the bottle yet, but other reviewers say this isn't easy. Time to search for a better mop!
The head continually flips whenever you mop. It's a constant struggle just to keep the head on the floor to continue with floor cleaning. Swiffer has a sturdier head! Not worth the money at all.
So Sad! As a long time Swiffer user I got the spray mop because I love the Bona hardwood floor spray! So i got the hardwood mop and it broke on my first use, the handle doesn't stay attached. As a busy Mom I don't have time to mess with a spray mop that doesn't work.
