Definitely decreases mole activity, it takes some weeks. They have not been completely driven away but happy with results. Hardest part is getting the insertion hole made…have dense clay soil. Works much better when almost all of it is in the ground. Take care not to mow their heads off. I got this to replace a Victor brand that was killed by mower and it has a distinctly different sound and sequence. I have a Victor still working and hope I will see better results with the two different pulses going.
We have 4 acres and have had moles forever. I put this one MOLEMAX SOLAR SPIKE off the back porch. It makes a beeping noise every 20 seconds or so. We have not seen any moles in the immediate area. Seems to be working. I would definitely recommend giving this a try.
We found dig holes in our back yard. We never saw what critter(s) were doing the digging. Before trying anything harmful, we gave this try. The light and sound are annoying outside. It must have annoyed the critters too because there have been no new holes.
This is the second one I have purchased worked so good I had to buy another one for the backyard. The moles were completely destroying our yard now they're destroying the neighbor's yard. I will definitely recommend this them product 😆
For me, it works. I have a serious mole problem and wanted a humane option. After I put it in the yard and turned it on, I didn’t see mole activity. But, my husband can’t stand it beeping (every 28 seconds it beeps very quick, consecutive beeps for 3 seconds) and told me to turn it off. Well, the mole came back after I turned it off. The next time I tried it, I buried it to where it’s almost level with the ground. It has muted the beeps some, but my husband is concerned our obnoxious neighbors will also be annoyed (they are the kind of selfish people that make life hard if they don’t like something). Again, love that it works but hate that the beeps are so audible. Its post is thick and hard to push in. I ended up digging a hole to insert it in the ground. It charges quickly and it’s on all the time. The mole will dig so many tunnels all over the yard in one night. When this is on, I haven’t seen activity. Not sure if it will work long term. If you live pretty close (newer construction, townhome, etc…) to your neighbor, not sure they will appreciate the 24hr beeping cycle. I was going to give 3 stars due to the volume. But the product does deserve 4 because it is effective.
The Molemax solar spike is easy to use - put spike in ground in sunny area to charge. The on and off button on side is convenient. The buzzing sound is audible, not loud, assuring the spike is charged and operational. The spike has been used for 1-week, long term success is unknown.
Solar powered injury free mole repellent. Uses noise chatter technology. Use a spike/dowel to create a hole in the ground first. Insert MoleMax into hole. Turn on and sink to very top. Can mow overtop of. Only issue is you can still slightly hear it. Not bad though. It truly does work.
Molemax Solar Spike is supposed to repel moles and gophers. I like that it is solar powered and therefore I do not need to purchase batteries or need an electrical socket. I ordered one to chase my pesky mole away. My possible problem is that my house divides the front yard from the back yard and I may need more spikes. I put the solar spike in the front yard where I currently see mole tunnels and there is more sun to keep the spike charged. I have checked daily for new tunnels and have found none. I also flattened the old tunnels and have been checking to see if the tunnels were reused – they have not. So far (in the short time I have had the spike), I have seen no new mole activity. Either the spike is working and he left or he moved and will return after the winter. For now, I recommend Molemax Solar Spike for mole and gopher repellant. I will try to find my review and update in the spring or just write a new review. I give Molemax Solar Spike 4 stars because you need to be careful with the mowing. Note: I received this product as a promotion.
This product does work.It kept the moles away for a few months. The only issue I have with this product is it stops working, after a few months, I don't know if it has a warranty, but even if it did, I no longer have my receipt.
This Molemax solar spike didn't work for me. There is an intermittent beep, which it says in the package it's a 'chatter sound" that the "burrowing rodents use in nature to warn kin of danger". I hear a beep, not a chatter. It also has a solar head, so it recharges. We've had ours in for a few weeks and still have fresh mole holes as near as 10 feet from the spike. So maybe if you put them every 8 feet or so, then then it may deter the moles. But from my experience with this, the moles...our moles...don't seem to be bothered much and are still digging new holes and mounds all over the place. Made in China.
