Bonsai Soil All Purpose By The Bonsai Supply 2QT Bag

It's a good size bag and was enough to re-pot my Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai Tree that was in need of some love and care. I like that it has the ability to drain quickly which is what my bonsai tree needs. I think this will help me with the tree and it has a nice appearance.

This is my first time purchasing and using this item. I did not know what to expect so not too sure of what to say about it. I will wait and see how my plant does.

This is good combo soil for bonsai. previously I've mixed my own to get this coarse rocky mix, so this one is really convenient.

For such a small bag/quantity, this stuff is totally expensive. Have seen %26 ended buying elsewhere, larger bag of different for less.

I can't tell the moisture level and when to water because I can't get my fingers through the substrate. Also, it got a brown color on top of some substrate, making it look unkempt and most of all my 3 bonsai trees dried.

I was disappointed with this bonsai soil. The pine bark pieces are much larger than what was shown and described, making it unsuitable for my smaller bonsai trees without additional sifting. I expected a more uniform, bonsai-ready mix, but instead received chunky bark that requires extra work before it can be used. If you're looking for fine-grade pine bark for bonsai, this product may not meet your expectations.
