I was needing to replace my A15 and was going to just get a new A15 but saw the A16 on sale and figured why not?! It's very similar and the switch over was a easy as putting the Sim card from my A15 into the A16 to get my service going without needing Customer Service assistance. Totally worth the money and I'll be getting 2 more for family members very soon.
The screen size is impressive. The colors pop out. The refresh rate is about what you'd think it would be for the price, but still pretty ok. My most favorite thing about this phone is the storage, omg, for this price the Samsung A16 5G 128GB is underrated. Full disclaimer, I love Samsung everything.
I was needing an upgrade to a phone with more storage. This phone was a decent price point and had everything I needed in terms of storage, processor, and RAM. I've had it now for a couple weeks and have no problems with it. Definitely a good option for those with Boost Mobile who aren't looking to spend $1000 for the most up to date phone they offer.
Well, considering the fact that it took me 24 hours to even get the activated with a phone number. And now I can't hear even half my apps cause it keeps trying to make me use my Samsung account which I have not had since 14 years ago.So I wouldn't recommend it I earlier.Because they could give me a freaking phone number four twenty four hours
this phone is slow, it stops working and need to be restarted, i wouls get a error message the phone's system stopping working, wait or stop anytime.worst phone i owned
This has been the worst experience with a cell phone that I think I have ever had. It constantly lags, freezes, doesn't respond. Messages often take forever to come through and sometimes when people try to send me photos via SMS, they just won't load. Extremely unhappy with this device. We bought an extended warranty, so I tried to file a claim with Allstate, but Allstate says they can't help until the manufacture warranty is over, so I contacted the manufacturer (Samsung) and they say they won't do anything about it, and suggest I return it to Walmart, but we are past the 30-day return window to be able to do that. It seems extremely unfair that we are out the money we spent on this phone and are stuck with a device that is less than subpar.
Worst phone ever. My A15 stopped working so I figured this would be a good replacement - WRONG! The battery drains quickly, I have to put on charger 3-4 times a day for normal usage. It is constantly coming up with system ui errors and it is so very slow to load apps. The lag on touch screen is so bad you think it didnt register. I have had this phone for 6 weeks and I am already looking for a replacement! I wish I would have googled known issues for this phone before I purchased. Seems these problems are normal for this phone. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.
phone gets extremely hot and over heats super fast. slow %26 lagging. screen locks for no reason . cannot receive ANY photo text. camera is slow and glitches. just a piece of trash crappy phone all together. gps freezes and overlaps a window on itself of the gps while open which is horrible. for the money i paid i expected a much more decent phone. going back to my cheap $40 Motorola phone bc this one is CRAP. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. HORRIBLE PRODUCT. and boost says there is nothing they can do to help.
This phone lags so bad! I've had to hard reset it already. I still have 85% of my memory. I waited for over a minute for my keyboard to pop up. Messenger will not download. Other apps will not download they say they are not compatible. This phone is garbage. Samsung is garbage. I plan on trashing this phone as soon as possible. The camera struggles to focus. It lags taking pictures. My last one was an A25 it lagged but not as bad as this. Save your money buy Motorolla.
I've been using $40 TCL phones for the last four years. I thought I'd treat myself to a decent upgrade and got the Samsung A16. Let me tell you what, that was a horrible decision. It freezes if use the camera, has the processing speed of a brick (and yes, I disabled the THREE different AI assistants), constantly drops bluetooth connection to a car radio that had no problems with throwaway phones. The fingerprint reader is mostly trash. I hate this phone with all of my heart. I get a little, angry burn in the pit of my stomach just holding it. As soon as I get paid, I will buy a cheap phone and then recreate the fax machine scene from Office Space and destroy this phone with a bat.
